Northern Expedition: Sixers at Raptors Game 1 7:30 TNT

Post#1 » by Sixerscan » Sat Apr 27, 2019 10:28 pm

Raptors are really good. Key to the game and this series is physicality. Sixers are the bigger team. Be the more aggressive team. Win the rebounding, get to the line more.

Get one of the these 2 up there and flip home court. Raptors are like 2-14 or something in Game 1s, that will be in their head if it's a close game down the stretch.

Last time we matched up in the playoffs against a Raptors team led by a wing that didn't want to be there, it went pretty well.

Suggest any Raptors fans that feel like trolling to think twice unless they want a 12 hour ban from posting during a playoff game. Welcome polite banter of course.

Go Sixers.

Have no expectations whatsoever. We would need Jimmy to play like a superstar and Tobias to be 20+ efficient scorer to have any chance, cause I think Embiid and Simmons will struggle against Gasol and Kawhi.

If the latter two want to be taken seriously as forces in the NBA, they cannot crap the bed against Gasol and Kawhi.

Go Sixers.

That's a general, basic key for any playoff game, regardless of opponent. A bigger key for the 76ers is limiting Turnovers and transition scoring from the Raptors. The games against good opponents the 76ers actually defeated, the 76ers limited (or caused opposing) turnovers.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I think the Raptors are the worst possible matchup for the 76ers of every playoff team left honestly. But the one thing I'm hopeful of is getting the annual Kyle Lowry 'stink job' in a series. He's the one matchup the 76ers could exploit, especially with his bad finger and ankle. As long as Simmons can keep his turnovers under 6, and Embiid doesn't try too hard to show up Gasol for the critics, they have a chance.

Yeah winning the turnover and transition battle is never a basic key for a playoff game lol.

Rebounding and fouls is the one place the Sixers have an obvious advantage. Gotta dominate there.

I recommend the Sixers actually make some shots if they want to win.

Embiid and Simmons need to show they are for real, this is the perfect scenario to prove they're top players.

Jj with that awesome catch and then a terrible shot. Really wish the veterans head was in the game early.

Gasol has Jo's number. I don't think we have a chance this series. Hope I'm wrong.

The announcers seem like they're rooting for Toronto in this one, for whatever reason.
