CJ Elleby is looking strong early on.

I liked Ellerby as another Culver type last year. Now he's improved his free throw shooting by nearly 20 percentage points. If his jumper projection continues to strengthen, I think he could be a Klay/Jayson-esque player on the wing. Very promising.

Oregon State is now 11-3 so they might start getting national recognition.

Hopefully my guy Tres Tinkle starts getting the attention of people in the draft community after 4 long years of getting ignored.

Tinkle is a 1st round talent, no brainer, guy has special touch and knows how to play at 6-8, not super gifted athletically but he is fluid, gonna be a rotation Forward which is at a premium, esp when it comes with shooting

Yeah, I mean, Tinkle checks every box you're looking for.

Scoring production, defensive ability and versatility (can guard 2-4), shooting ability, passing ability. He's such a well-rounded player.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's a 15 ppg player in the NBA with some fringe allstar peak seasons kind of like a healthy Gordon Hayward.

Precious Achiuwa is definitely going Top 10, but man, he could be an absolute shooting zero.

I think Achiuwa is going to be at least Anunoby good as a shooter, and yeah he should go top10

Damn, tough break. I talked about a guy named Aaron Nesmith earlier. Really good sophomore wing prospect. Looks like he's done for the year with a foot injury. Could make him available in the 2nd round, though. Would be a great snag.

Anyone like Timmy Allen of Utah? Looks like a big wing with scoring ability.

I just could see our scouting department being intrigued over him. He's a deadeye shooter, playing solid defense, gets himself open, super athletic.

They needed that dude to step up last year when Garland got hurt and he was kinda meh. Isn't Pippen's kid supposed to be pretty decent? I wonder if he gets a green light from Stackhouse.

John Hollinger is low on this draft but higher than consensus on these players: Ashton Hagans, DePaul's Paul Reed, Devin Vassell. Thinks Killian Hayes could be something despite the lack of athletic attributes. Thinks the most likely number one pick is Lamelo (because of the play-making possibilities, even given he'll have to rework his shot) as every other possibility has some huge holes in their games.

Good draft to have no picks in basically.

Hollinger is terrible and none of this thoughts are his, he is copying others, read 0 into his insight, he is a fraud

I agree on LaMelo QB1 though at this point

The bolded is possibly an overstatement given he's a God in the analytics community for good reason.

LaMelo is talented AF, but never go against the hard and fast rule of never drafting a 40% true shooting guy. They're automatic busts usually.

I am talking about him talking basketball, no idea about how good is he when it comes to analytics, he clearly knows how to sell himself though

I respect your opinion, but he is a big reason why a site like the Stepien even exists: like without guys like him, "informed" twitter people are still claiming plus/minus as a super-stat and Kobe is the GOAT. He's a legend. You might as well run down Pop as a coach now apparently parts of the game have passed him by.

Maybe it's because I'm always looking at where we have an opportunity to draft, but I feel like there are great options later in the draft. I haven't been paying attention to mock drafts yet, but if guys like Derrick Alston or Myles Powell are in the second round, then this draft has some sleepers in it.

Paul Reed playing a hell of a game against Nova tonight. Looks strong on both ends.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
