He's great defensively. He's definitely a more willing shooter than last year. I don't think his W/S will be friendly to him. He's also never going to be a go-to scorer. Can only hope for a defensive specialist, so we might trade up for him.

That's why I have no problem with trading 1st rounder(s) for Derrick Rose.

This front office doesn't even look at talent. They just look at useful traits to use while they're under a rookie deal.

What's up with Aaron Nesmith? His offensive stats look filthy. He gonna be around for our picks at the top of the 2nd round? Can he play any D? Is he a total blackhole?

I think he can be the next Buddy Hield. He's an okay team defender, but he's pretty terrible man defender. He broke his foot, too, so he's the perfect Sixer.

We have enough defenders. Need to take a chance on a guy like this.

Tre Jones, Ashton Hagans, Tyrese Haliburton...

These guys are all the same to me. Possess a few traits that you look for but they're fake-useful players because it would take an offensive explosion for them to even amount to double digit scorers in the NBA.

Yeah, I really like him.

He's been coached by hardass Jerry Stackhouse so you know there's going to be some toughness in him. You know he's intelligent because he got into Vanderbilt. And he's going to fall in the draft due to the broken foot.

He'll be there for the taking unless this front office focuses on more defensive guys that can't score.

Don't like him. Reminds me of a shorter Ty Jerome. Or a lesser athletic version of Kris Dunn. Good point of attack defense, passable shooting profile, good passer. Can't score, though, so how much longterm relevance can he possibly have?

Don't really see the Ty Jerome comparison he was like a poor man Tyler Herro. Kris Dunn is a good one, Marcus Smart too - although Hagans shoots 80% from the ft line and his shooting splits have all trended up since his freshman year. He's a defensive monster and is the driver of Kentucky's offense. Him, Thybulle and Ben units would be ridiculous together.

speaking my language. although i too feel like we have a lot invested in complimentary guards, and i expect us to go get a veteran like derrick rose at the trade deadline. kind of depends on what happens with zhaire, and shake for that matter. i'm a disappointed jonah bolden supporter. he's broken my heart. lol. looking for a new love at the four. kinda on the paul reed bandwagon for now.

and with all that said:

okc20(x20)watch

xavier tillman. he has al horford's game. 6'9, 245. big man with perimeter skills, makes good decisions. can also get down as a traditional five with post moves. defends, dribbles and passes. shot is not broken. over a steal per game, plus over three assists a game. tom izzo schooled, you can tell he patterns himself after draymond. morris twins, corliss williamson, spellman, david west

If you're watching, just look at DePaul's defensive scheme against Powell. The DePaul's entire team is only really concerned about him.

Didn't watch the game but looks like a big reason why Depaul lost was because Paul Reed no-showed on offense by getting himself in foul trouble throughout the game. Good to see Powell go off again. Might give Markus Howard good competition for conference PotY.

Romaro Gill is more fluid and has quicker feet than Roy Hibbert did. Would be interesting with some muscle. A pick in the 50s maybe. Didn't really love Paul Reed. Definitely bout it bout it. But kinda reminded me of jerami grant with less athleticism? Bobby portis without a jimmy? lol. I think I like Xavier Tillman better. Destroyed Northwestern the way a future pro ought to destroy northwestern. 3stls, 2blks, 1-3 from the bean.

Tillman has the tools to be a pro, but does he have the talent?

Kinda feels like a 4-6 ppg guy that never makes a real impact. Like what Kyle O'Quinn wound up becoming.

It's getting harder for me to ignore Kira. He's only 18 years old and he's putting together a solid sophomore season. He's like a mini SGA.

For me, Kira's scoring leaves a tiny bit to be desired.

His ppg are okay, but he's plays ALOT of minutes to get those points. His per minute scoring is actually pretty weak at 17.4 for his career.

Ayo Dosunmu is a similar player with a little more scoring punch on a per minute basis. I like him better.
