We won't have a 1st round pick since we traded ours away, and the OKC 2020 1st rounder we own is top 20 protected. They are going full tank with trading away Paul George and Russell Westbrook soon.

i know its over, but 3rd and 14th pick for two 2nd round picks is just hilarious. Thanks to Collar and Elton, we now have zero future assets and may not even be a contender yet :banghead:

What does Elton have to do with this?

And more to the point, what does any of this have to do with next season's college basketball and the draft? The frequent posters in this thread do a fantastic job of keeping the conversation about college players and the draft generally.

The only way Robert Williams or Daniel Gafford are 5 tool 5s is if you count each finger on the hand they block their shots with. :P

It's a shame that Justin Sueing transferred from Cal to Ohio State, and thus, has to sit out the year.

He's a pretty ready-made NBA wing. Strong defensive player that has an optimistic shooting profile. Very similar to Jacob Evans.

i have never in my life banged the drum for robert williams. quite the opposite, i was glad the celtics drafted him.

you must be thnking of my love for mitchell robinson who will shoot threes before its all said and done, and probably sooner than later. i also begged for the sixers to move up from 10 instead of down, for whicehver of the true five tool fives slipped (bamba, carter..). after that i thought it was clear robison would be there at 26. and after we took landry i wante us to trade our seconds to move up for him.

as for gafford, no, i don't think he's a five tool five. But he has four of the skills, and i think we had a chance to get the best center in the entire draft with a second round pick. bottom line is i get nothing but derision on this and a bunch of other sixers sites for thinking the sixers would be in a better position if we had a defensive anchor on the second unit, who would be dumb cheap and needed insurance and highly valuable as a trade chip.

you guys try extra hard to get at people. lol.

[Givony] Good news for people looking to follow RJ Hampton, LaMelo Ball and the other future NBA draft picks playing in the Australian @NBL . ESPN secured the league's broadcast rights, allowing fans everywhere to watch the games on WatchESPN.

Got a few things right about Mitchell Robinson, this is me quoting me from the Put up or Shut up thread from before that draft (note Robinson did go to a bad team, hasn't affected him though). Note Sephatex was the only other poster here to have him rated in the top 20, understandable given that he didn't have any college tape to give people info on him:

"This is also the reason why I have Mitchell Robinson in the top 15 despite him not playing any college ball; its obvious from the tape around that he has better defensive instincts than someone like Mo Bamba and he could well end up be slightly better on that end as a shot blocker than JJJ. Its also extremely likely he will fall to a great situation, ie the Warriors, or heavens forbid, the Celtics (cringe), but if Bamba were on those teams I would be much much higher on his possible outcome compared to where I have him listed here. Those franchises are clearly doing something right in terms of player development - alternately if Robinson were on a bad team I could well see him out of the league in three years."

It was a good call for sure. I treated him like I treat most Euro players: completely remove them from my rankings because I don't have enough info.

Honest question: Is "5 tools" actually a thing in basketball or are you just appropriating the baseball term to say a guy that has all the skills you want as a 5? What are the 5 tools?

There are a ton of good options late, it's that type of class, I think it's weak at the top but solidly deep

And the 76ers better draft a Guard with offensive ability btw, this class is loaded in that regard
