Honestly, I'd have to consider.

If you break it down, Chris must be looking around at his friends from the 2000s-2010s with championships and is seeing his time run out. He has HoF level clout that is undeniable for Embiid and Simmons. He has handed the scoring load to SGA when he could have been a prick and ran the whole show in OKC. The aforementioned clout would likely attract buyout market guys. On top of all of that, I cannot stomach 4 more years of Tobias struggling to fit in while being a non-factor on defense.

I think the framework of Tobias, Josh, Scott for CP3 and Gallo would work for them. Josh would be nice next to SGA. CP3 and Gallo make us legit NOW

CP3 and Gallo seems like a great upgrade. Simmons has been playing well with other ball handlers.

Horford could be used as a backup center or PF against certain matchups.

It seems too good for the Sixers.

I feel like Thybulle would need to be included for OKC to consider.

I doubt OKC makes any drastic moves considering they appear to be playoff bound.

I don't think OKC wants to deal with CP3 in two years. At least Harris is entering his prime and might work better in OKC's system.

That's plausible.... I just think they'll be more willing sellers in the offseason as opposed to right now considering how well they're playing.

Embiid, Burke to POR for CJM, Zack Collins, 1st round pick

Then...

1st round pick and Bolden to GSW for Burks, Spellman

Then...

Neto, Richardson for Osman, Zizic

C- Horford/Spellman
PF- Harris/Collins
SF- Osman/Korkmaz
SG- CJM/Thybulle
PG- Ben/Burks

Deep bench: Zizic/Scott/Ennis/Smith/Shake

Everyone in the 10 man rotation except Burks signed to long term deals. Shake in the wings to take over Burks role next season.

do you really think that makes us a contender?

Because at the end of the day thats the only reason to make moves right now. If you are willing to take a step back, then thats offseason stuff

If we opt to deal Embiid we need a better return than that...

You would absolutely need to include Thybulle along with Zaire if we are talking both CP3 and Gallo.

Another quote: Thing is OKC doesn't need Harris in his prime now, he would only be a flipper, cause removing CP3 and Gallo means atleast 2 years of mediocrity.

Gallo is likely gone at the end of the year anyway. Harris would be there long term to stay competitive and grow with SGA.

I do Horford + Harris for CP3 + Gallo in a heartbeat. Makes us MUCH better.

PG Paul
SG Richardson
SF Simmons
PF Gallo
CE Embiid

Doubtful OKC bites though unfortunately. Presti isn't stupid enough to want Tobias freaking Harris on an obscene 5/$180M contract, nor Al Horford on a 4/$109M contract. There's only ONE front office dumb enough to hand out those two deals...

Sixers arent willing to part with anything that will get them more then a 7th or 8th man on a good team. Elton Brand is going down with the leaky ship he built. Probably for the best long term I dont trust Brand to do something smart. He is an idiot that doesnt know the entire league and how to value players correctly. 265 million invested in Harris and Horford is all the proof you need. After he and Brown get flushed like the bowel movements clogging the toilet they are this summer hopefully whoever they hire can clean up this mess.

Maybe Neto, O'Quinn and Bolden for Naz Reid??

Sixers liked Reid a lot from what I remember when they worked him out.

Wolves need PGs desperately.

Now that Miami is loaded with win-now vets on the wings, I think we should try to get Kezie Okpala from them over the summer.

If Okpala's jumper ever materializes, he could be special.

@Negro, what you think?

Hasn't he been pretty dreadful in the G-League? I'm concerned that jumper is never coming.

Yeah, he looks bad right now. Which is why I'd like to buy low on someone who's probably incredible available.

I think I have enough faith in his shotcreating abilities and team defensive abilities to play the long game on him.

At worst, he can be a Hutchinson/Levert type shotcreater off the bench with a struggle j. If the jumper does come around, he could be a legit difference making dare I say star.

Two scenarios that "work":

1. PHI / NOLA

Philly Trades: Embiid
NOLA Trades: Ingram and Favors (Plus Picks)

Why Philly: They get a young player to pair with Simmons who can get buckets and spread the floor. Also get a decent big with a large expiring contract.

Why Nola: They don't think they'll pay Ingram his big contract or they don't think he can play well together with Zion. They get a star to pair with Zion.

2. PHI / OKC

Philly Trades: Embiid, Harris, and Scott
OKC Tradees: CP3, Gallinari, and a ton of unprotected picks

Why Philly: They don't see a future where Ben + Embiid coexist. This gets him out the door and gives us the players that give us a decent shot at making a run over the next 2-3 years. Additionally, they get picks that can be used to draft or flip for more talent and a large expiring in Gally if they decide not to extend.

Why OKC: They get rid of the CP3 contract and can begin to add pieces around Harris and Embiid.

People have lost their damn mind with Embiid trades.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
