People who don't know the game are blaming Embiid for this piss poor roster construction. It's criminal negligence how terrible this roster has been built around Embiid and Simmons.

Idiots better understand how hard it is to get generational talents like Embiid and Simmons, as opposed to pieces that fit around them.

Yeah. I get being critical of both of them. Embiid just hasn't looked like himself for most of the year and Ben still refuses to do that one thing that shall not be named. I don't get wanting to actually trade them (particularly for the mediocre type returns that get brought up).

Ben Simmons ain't generational. He's not even a star level player through four years.

23 year old never scored more than 16.9 points in a season. That's not a star level player lol.

He’s a star, made the team twice. Like you said not generational yet(keyword)

Draymond and Al Horfrod made a ton of allstar teams. Neither are stars.

Stars are guys that are able to carry a consistently high scoring load and be among the best players on the floor on a nightly basis. Ben Simmons is nowhere near that right now.

He's a defensive player with moderate point production. That's not a star.

Some people equates making the all star team is being a “star”

He's played 130 games in 6 years. If we don't change coaches or offensive systems - he clearly doesn't "Fit" with Ben. He's extreamly streaky and hasn't progressed all that much.

I get he's obviously one of the most talented guys in the NBA - but unfortunately you actually need to be able to suit up and play to make a difference.

LOL I'm not even trying to troll. I just worry his injuries are only going to get worse with age. We see it happen all the time with guys his size. That and Simmons clearly doesn't fit with him.

Can't win in this league without an elite talent. You deal with the flaws/risk over lowering the ceiling of your team.

The fit issues of Ben and Jo are exaggerated by the poor roster construction at the team. Change the supporting cast, not the core.

We're 6th in the East. I honestly don't think we would drop that much.

We've won 56% of our games w/out Embiid - 62% with.

Definitely a fair argument. I'm just lobbing out my crazy ideas.

All I'm saying is if we had to start the Eastern playoffs today, I think we would honestly have a better shot with
CP3-JR-Gally-Simmons-Horford than Simmons-JR-Harris-Horford-Embiid or w/e we trot out there.

For what it's worth, CP3 I probably still wouldn't do. Ingram + Favors trade I probably would.

Who are the best guards that could be had during the buyout market?

IT is currently out there (i'd take him over neto)

A Bulls guard would be a dream (one of Dunn or Sato)

Reggie Jackson doesn't seem all that realistic to be bought out...

2. Jackson
3. Teague

I honestly don't think any other G would even be worth pursuing.

You expect your other two options to be on the market?

Sounds like Jackson will eventually get bought out. Haven't heard anything regarding Teague yet.

Why would you prefer 2020 IT over Reggie who's much bigger, a better defender, a better passer and shooting 40% from 3?
