Yeah he cannot score on the ball and is mostly an opportunistic scorer, but we don't need a center to be our scorer. Winning players trump talented but lazy and undisciplined players, and Adebayo is a winning players. We need winning players.

If we’re trading Biid, it’s for a load of talent that can provide perimeter scoring like James Harden or Beal.

Obviously that would be the best option, but people told me here that we wouldn't be able to get these playeres for Embiid. So I'm proposing an alternative trade, for a player that almost anyone views as inferior to Embiid but that is really better in playoffs and in end of games, and fits better with Simmons. Moreover, he would bring part of the Heat's culture that we desperately need.

Yeah, bringing in that "Heat culture" w/JRich paid massive dividends for us, so let's overpay them again!

You forget Brett Brown was here, what culture do you expect to have with a coach like him? Richardson talked about the lack of accountability, he knows what's up.

you can't spend the last year going Joel Embiid sucks and then turn around and say we should trade him for this younger all star.

The same thing happened to the Sixers. You cant win with just iso, not even Jordan could do it.

They’re not good enough offensively to trade baskets like Celtics, Warriors or Rockets.

Or

They don’t have the players to outrebound their opponents and get them a high volume of high % shots.

Playing big favors when there’s much pressure. Because physical responds better on pressure than mental.

And that’s the problem when you are playing small. When the game is on the line like a game 7 and when your shots aren’t falling, you have no other response but to raise your white flag. Similar to what we saw with Rox and Clippers on their game 7s.

We need someone like Goran Dragic. So that doesnt necessarily mean someone as talented as CP3.

Dragic can sets screens for Jimmy where Jimmy can attack the smaller guard (Kemba) if he switches. Dragic can shoot and also run a 2 man game with Bam.

If the Nuggets didn’t just do back to back 7 game series, I’d like their matchup against the Lakers. I feel like fatigue is about to catch up to them.

Imagining the Lakers pick fell out of the top 3 in 2016 and we drafted Murray :(

In an alternate universe yes but BC was running the show then. So he definitely would have taken Dragan Bender.

Nope BC would have taken Bender position be damned. He would have been the best euro available at the time. Let's go with it.

Color me shocked that a team that leans on the emotional leadership of one of the Morris twins and Montrez Harrell unraveled in a big moment lol.

Lots of good stories in the NBA right about now.

I'm very very interested in seeing what OKC does in the next few years with all of their picks. Another Sam has an "embarrassment of riches" I am going to be following that franchisee very very closely.

The Kings passed on Luca and now Divac is gone. Can they finally get out of their own way and not take one step forward and two steps backwards.

LBJ did not win a title his first year in Miami...and Kawhi is not going to do so in LA. But he is still young and the team has some talent. The owner is willing to spend so this season might just be a bump in the road.

GSW come back and they have the #2 pick overall. The rich get richer.

The Bucks have something to prove, next season.
The Nets have something to prove next season too.

Can the 76ers finally figure out a way to get their team to stop under performing?

Lots of good front office stuff and basketball playing stuff going forward and the season is not even over yet.

I really want to believe that Sam was all set with the Celtic-OK4 deal that Jerry and Harris nixed. I also drink the Koolaid on his aspirations of a Biid-Noel frontline. (Biid still liked the idea right up until THAT trade.) though I wonder how far back Noel's personality-judgement stuff goes. ($70 million!)

Do you really think that had any impact?

I think the Clippers problems were 100% intangible related.

That team was a mess all year in terms of commitment. They had more healthy scratches than any team in the league this year. They had guys in and out of the bubble. There are reports from insiders saying that 80% of the team didn't even want to go to the bubble or resume the season. Their two best players are charisma vacuums with no personalities so no leadership. Their team is also chock-full of overgrown man-children so that compounded the lack of leadership.

I like Doc, but this was his worst coaching job in a while. He demanded nothing from his players and had their backs and sniped at the media whenever they were asked about why this team looked so flat and disengaged all year.

Hinkie wasn't allowed to draft Porzingis.
