If im a FA point guard who lacks exposure that can shoot and run pick and roll. Like Jeremy Lin (lol), Reggie Jackson with way better shooting or maybe Shroeder. I’d sign with the Sixers. Embiid can mask my poor defense while playing with Ben can showcase how much better Iam as a PG on a halfcourt.

Heat and “tight” 3s

Wish we could see the Sixers first round playoff stats in comparison

You can tell Kemba really worked on his flopping game during the hiatus. Has to be in the upper echelon at this point.
2023-2024 Philadelphia 76ers:

Lowry/Melton/Payne
Maxey/Hield/Downtin
Oubre/Batum/Council
Harris/Covington/Martin
Embiid/Reed/Bamba

You can.

27.7% on 11.8 attempts per game for "wide open" 3s
31% on 14.5 attempts per game for "open" 3s

15/35 on tight 3s seems much crazier than those open numbers.

Read on Twitter

This happened when Nurse went small against the Celts. This lead to a number of easy baskets for Theis in a close game.

Nowadays a coach has to have a roster than can play different shades of big to small, and also has to be able to know how to play them.

For the Sixers, Biid has to lose weight and be in better condition and faster. His mindset should be that he’s trying to have a physique of a PF. He should be able to be our tallest guy on the floor when we play small, just as how Lakers does with AD.

When other teams play small, you play Embiid and Ben at C and PF.

When other teams play big, you play Embiid and Al at C and PF.

Just finished watching G4 of Lakers vs Nuggets
- Lakers outrebounded the Nuggets
- LeBron on Murray isn’t just for defense (Refs favors Bron) but it also allows cross match issues. When Murray drives and misses, Bron just sprints to the end of the court where he’s undefended by the Nuggets
- when murray was taking over the game, Lakers brought in Caruso, Rondo, KCP, Bron and AD. They usually ends the game with Morris, so this was a head scratcher. Offensively, Bron and AD can create for their teammates while Lakers have multiple defenders against Murray this prevents them to hunt for favorable defenders for Murray
- Should Nuggets put Jokic on AD? Let D12 hurt them with Milsap and accept the results.
- Lakers can hide AD on defense while Nuggets can’t hide Jokic. Jokic was in foul trouble for most of this series and it could be a difference maker.

- importance of a center like biid who can punish teams when they switch
- importance of perimeter threat and PnR in breaking the zone defense
- importance of getting rebounds

Ishing on Joshua and taking his talents to Venice Beach was obviously the right move!

I feel like even though the Heat has some nice young players it was their vets that gave them an edge over the celtics

I really want Buckets to win. I hope Harris and Brand never stop hearing questions about James Butler.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

So happy the Celtics got eliminated. Now I enjoy watching the finals in peace. I will be rooting for Lebron and the Lakers, just so they could pass Boston and stick it to Boston even more

I remember two years ago, when we played against Miami in 1st round, some fans here laughed at their culture, implying they were stuck in mediocrity while we had the bright future. I remember those times, funny how things change in only two years.
Great takes since 2024-04-20
