Our wings better be hitting threes tonight or they’ll just pack the paint on Simmons in the half court rendering him useless

Was this officially announced? What is the timeframe for a torn ligament on the non-shooting hand? Can't be super long right...?

Yep, official from talking heads. Timetable uncertain.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid suffered a torn radial collateral ligament of the fourth metacarpal in his left hand, the team announced Thursday.

Embiid is currently evaluating treatment options and is without a timetable for return.

More excuses if they go on another losing streak. This is what they prepared for over the summer right? Let’s see if their plan works

The Silver Lining:

Horford has a chance to significantly up his value over the next 2-3 months if Embiid is out. Hopefully enough to where we can flip him for a guy like D'Angelo Russell this offseason.

Ben, now is the time to display the skill you showed during your rookie year when Embiid was out.

Well lets look at the positives.

Time for Ben to put up or shut up
Gives Al time to do his thing and up his trade value
Gives Embiid time to rest (and hopefully shed a few pounds)

Its the dog days of the season anyway. Could be way worse.

I'm low key looking forward to seeing Ben/Al/Tobi as our Big 3 while Joel is out. This is their chance to step up and become dominant. Would like to see others like Korkmaz and Burke take on more of a scoring load also.

So what’s the offense going to be? Embiid was our last “creator” besides.... Burke?

If the offense is struggling Brett will have to go with a starting lineup of

Burke
JRich
Harris
Simmons
Horford

It will just have to be done.

Even if he does get called up, the chances we get a scoring punch from a rookie with a slow release and old man moves in the next few weeks are slim-to-none. Why you think we would get instant offense from this guy is confounding.

Tune in just to see Ben Simmons turn the ball over again bc the other team knows he's afraid of shooting, awesome.
