Hate the idea of trading Thybulle, but Beal's demand will require parting with legitimate assets. Any Beal scenario that doesn't include Thybulle likely wouldn't be entertained.

I'd argue its justifiable for what could be the toughest big 3 in the association.

It would be tough to win with how bad our defense would be though. I'd trade either Thybulle or Richardson, but not both. Harris + Thybulle + OKC 1st for Beal?

Simmons(24)/Milton(20)/Beal(4)
Beal(30)/Korkmaz(18)
Richardson(33)/Smith(15)
MLE(28)/Simmons(10)/Horford(10)
Embiid(30)/Horford(18)

If you can get Beal without giving up Embiid or Simmons (I don't think they have enough), you do it and figure out your supporting cast later.

I think Beal/Wall play out their contracts in Washington. They appear adamant on giving it one last shot and their relationship seems better than it ever was before. Unless Wall suffers another injury or their personal relationship falls through, I don't think Beal gets traded.

I really like the idea that was floated out there of getting Thad Young and Otto Porter from Chicago. Maybe they'll take on Harris's contract since they don't appear to be appealing to free agents.

Same package as the Booker idea for Beal

Warriors: Horford, Richardson, OKC 1st
Wizards: Harris, Thybulle, GSW 1st, '22 PHI 1st
Sixers: Beal and Wiggins

Warriors use their pick to get off Wiggins and get some win now, good fitting talent.
Steph-Klay-Jrich-Dray-Al

The Wizards get a haul for their star and straddle the line of a complete rebuild and trying to win. If Wall can get back to his old self, Harris is a reasonably good running mate, and they'd be able to add some potentially high end talent at the top of the draft.
Wall-Mattise-Hachimura-Harris-Wiseman?

Sixers get their 3rd banana. Beal gives them a combo guard that can score at a high level both on and off the ball. Eating Wiggins is part of the price, but he could at the very least give them some high level bench scoring

Normally, I would agree with this principle but JRich and Thybulle are probably two of the top-10 the best perimeter defenders in the league. Beal has been a huge negative on defense since his rookie year, we have to pair him with someone really good to win a championship.

Edit: one big hold-up for Beal is his injury history though. A team with Embiid, Beal, Richardson has some serious health concerns.

Now that I took time to really think about what this team has in terms of strengths moving forward is length and defense between guys like Simmons , Thybulle, Josh Richardson and Embiid. I don’t want to destroy that for Bradley Beal/ Cj McCollum type player. I rather keep those type defenders as part of my core and use guys like Tobias who is like 50 mill dollars overpaid , Horford who is a 100 million dolla back up center, Zhiare Smith who doesn’t have a future here and our two future 1st to add another impact player.

What’s the market for Tobias ? I may consider moving for a creator since he’s not know as a defender much.

I swear some are expecting us to land a mythical Bradley Beal type scorer with fierce defensive prowess without parting with any real coveted assets (Thybulle, late firsts, etc).

Beal is twice the threat of Josh and Harris combined and its going to take more for a blockbuster scenario like this to be entertained. BB has been breathing fire since his all star snub. He's that coveted closer who creates offense at an elite level and pairing that skillset with Embiid and Simmons would come at a price. Its a speeding ticket in a grand sense if we're able to roll out a lineup featuring three top 20 players in the league.

Beal hasn't won squat. I'm not trading potential elite defensive wings for him.

Tobias, Horford ,Zhaire and picks take yo pick.

Harris en z. Smith and salary filler for c. Paul i mentioned before. Don't know how okc would react.
Does okc give us a pick with that deal or not.

I mean he's been stuck in Washington and for awhile was a big reason why they were a perennial playoff team. He's never had a supporting cast anywhere close to Ben and Joel's caliber.

Defensive specialists are valued luxuries, but stars are what drives the train.

Joel by himself on mins restriction won 30 games as a rookie. Ben won 50 back to back and not to mention 16 game winning streak without Embiid. This is a 2 way wings league. We have a blessing having 3 elite long defending wings with Simmons, Thybulle and JR. Not effin that up. That's my foundation I'm putting around Embiid first and foremost.

That's the idea, though. Hold onto your valuable assets so that you can cash in on a complete player when he becomes available. That's how we got Jimmy Butler. That deal doesn't happen without having Robert Covington as a trade chip.

Bradley Beal is pretty good, but I'm unsure if he's worth blowing our load for. He really lacks consistent defensive commitment. I actually think he was the third most important piece on the Wizards playoff teams behind Wall and Porter despite being arguably the most talented on the team.

I think we'd be better off closely monitoring the Donovan Mitchell situation in Utah. And calling Sacramento daily on De'Aaron Fox's availability.

We ain't getting fox nor Mitchell.
Not opposed to one of these.
Horford and Zhiare for Heild type deal sure. Tobias for Wall or Paul I may be cool with that. Wall adds defense and shot creation.

I'd add Jrue to that list considering he's probably the closest facsimile to that mythical player I described, although I can't see a realistic scenario that wouldn't involve Thybulle and/or a 1st for him.

The Butler deal was a bit of an anomaly considering he was in a contract year and his turbulent situation Minnesota forced his value down. I'd be all for pursuing opportunity buys for Donovan or Fox if their situation warrants it.

I personally view Beal and Holiday's impact here being a tier above what Mitchell or Fox would be capable of. Those are two guys on a short list I'd be willing to pay the price for.

I think Bradley Beal is dead last in that grouping of guys. He's the worst creator and worst defender of the four.

Ranking by shotcreation:
1. Fox
2. Mitchell
3. Holiday
4. Beal

Ranking by defense:
1. Holiday
2. Fox
3. Mitchell
4. Beal

I think Fox is the best option for us.

I'd argue you're underrating Beal's ability to create.

I'd like to think I'm appropriately rating his shotcreation ability. I really don't think he's that strong, in that regard. He wasn't at Florida, either.

For his career, he's been assisted on 45% of his field goals inside the arc and 79% of his field goals beyond the arc. He's creating at a higher level now, but he's still not some elite closer type that you give the ball and expect to get his in the halfcourt against a playoff defense.

For reference:

Fox: 17% assisted inside, 56% assisted outside
Mitchell: 23% assisted inside, 61% assisted outside
Holiday: 26% assisted inside, 59% assisted outside

All three of those players create shots at a far higher frequency than Bradley Beal. And obviously they all play better defense than him.
