Only if Edwards is the pick, because Wiseman and Embiid is a nightmare of problems, it would be doubling down on this Big Man BS. I feel if you can get Edwards with Simmons, you do it any day of the week.

What kind of player do you think Edwards can be. See lots of Oladipo / Brown etc comparisons. You think that's lazy?

Yeah, peak Oladipo is what I could see, at least on the offensive end. Brown nah, i think he is much more skilled than that, with due respect to Brown.

I know he’s a Celtic but Brown had a better ts% this year than Dipo has ever had, and is also a really good defender(D ws similar to Dipo peak). Dipo is just a better passer with worse shooting. Edwards is a terrible outside shooter, on defense he can be a great lockdown defender but he gets lazy at times. Dipo is a poor outside shooter who relies on his slashing so the comp isn’t bad, I don’t see Edwards as a good distributor though.

We’re down 0-3.

Looking back, I’m ok with G1 and G3.

I like how we adjusted our TOs after 1st half of G1.

G2 is our worst game IMO. The defense on Tatum was bad. We should have given him different looks by assigning different defenders when Tatum was comfortable scoring against Thybulle. Then we should have not dropped too much when Kemba was punishing us on PnR. Then the effort in the third quarter was horrendous.

I like our effort in G3. I don’t mind losing as long as we leave everything on the court. We were actually on our way to winning that game but things didn’t go our way. I was stunned when we lose that game but i’m not that mad because I know we did everything physically and mentally. The effort and the adjustments were there.

Going forward, i think the blueprint is to play like how we played in G3. Low TO. Better defense. Better effort. At some point we are going to shoot better than 29%.

I dont expect us to win this series but atleast play like how we played in G3. That’s all I ask.

A friend of mine who has a friend who's uncle plays cards with someone from the 76ers front office told me this. The 76ers are losing games for 3 reasons. 1. They did not know they would have to play actual home games in the bubble they thought they would be allowed to play home games in Philly where they could right the ship.

2. Joel Embiid had never seen a double team before and was not prepared to deal with it.

3. Ben Simmons had been working hard on his 3 point shooting. Him being out has made a bigger impact on their outside shooting than anyone would have realized before the series started.

Is this a legitimate thought among the Sixers? If so, it further emphasizes that this regime needs to go.

The first two points, especially the first one, is exceptionally misguided. The third is obvious, however I would not bank on Ben's three point capability being the difference maker in a playoff matchup.

What does #2 even mean?

Embiid has been seeing a barrage of double teams since his freshman year at Kansas. He's literally been doubled to oblivion in 5 playoff series now (twice by the same coach/scheme).

I mean, you can't joke about something that feels way too rooted in reality.

So all the experts picked us as being in the conference finals.

It's not Elton Brands fault.

Simmons was injured ok. I think there's a lot of Monday morning q-bing going on here; people's emotions are high and fans have a right to be angry but let calmer heads prevail. We got too much of a good team here, we have too much talent on this team and barring any untimely injuries we should still be challenging for the eastern conference finals. We're gonna retool a little, take a look at what's out there, We got our eye on some players, so we're gonna be talking to some GMs, probably bring in some shooters and preach defense next year.

go Sixers

First one I was able to watch live, and I didn't watch first 2 quarters knowing how it will finish, but in the end decided to punish myself with the second half :(

I find there are similarities between games 1&3 and games 2&4. I think we played smarter and more effort in games 1&3.

In games 2&4, our body language was awful. Just watch how many easy baskets we gave up.

As a plus I continued watching and Clipers - Mavs at least was entertaining enough to stop hating basketball.

Celts had the control of this game from the tip. We got our knockout punch when Tobi went down. It really went downhill from there.

Kemba scored 20 by the half. Kemba really schooled Milton and our PnR defense. I feel like even if Kemba is slowed down, Celts could easily kill us with Tatum. And it was evident with how Tatum closed out the third quarter.

When the refs were giving us heavy favor in the first quarter, we could have seen the calls going against us in the future quarters to even out the game.

I feel so stoic today for some strange reason. I also realized that I can watch Mavs-Clips game in the future while I might not be seeings the same group of guys in the next sixers game. More of trying to minimize regret.

Celtics playstyle and philosophy proved superior in the series. The question is whether this is the new normal or it is due to the bad roster construction.
