Adrian Griffin is an intriguing name that hasn't received much mention. I'd welcome a Nick Nurse disciple.

Pompey is putting stuff out there he is getting from agents. Mike Brown is not a name i am hearing at all. Lue is still the top option unless their prayers are answered for Jay Wright. The biggest issue is the FO mess. Going to be hard to find a coach if the current situation is not resolved

There are some major league domestic abuse allegations swirling around him right now.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Not saying that at all. Just saying that McMillan is not in the top 5 of candidates.
He's a terrible playoff coach and this organization is looking for the opposite.
Lue is just the top name outside Jay Wright.
One thing i cannot account for is Josh Harris being cheap. Does he want to give a new coach a 5 year deal?

He's definitely cheap. I believe that may be the reason he decided not to run it back last year. Would have cost $10-15M/yr more then the Horford/JRich route.
So they are interested in Jay Wright? That's fantastic if true.

If we want a young basketball genius that has shut down some of the best offenses in college basketball, we should look at Chris Beard from Texas Tech. He and Tony Bennett are the best defensive coaches in the NCAA.

Hmmm.. nate mcmillan fired.
That’s one intriguing coach.

Exactely my thoughts
Don't really understand why Indiana fired him.
It's not his fault Sabonis got injured, Oladipo isn't healthy, ...
He always did a very good job with his teams (Portland too). Apparently a hard-noised guy. Exactely what our spoiled kids need I think

Cause he's gotten swept in the first round 3 out of the last 4 years.

Also dead last in 3PA per game and bottom half in Offensive Rating. Not a bad defensive coach but his offensive coaching is outdated.
Horrible fit and a worse coach than Brett

Not saying he’s great. Because I dont know him personally, have not seen work behind the scenes or havent dig that deep about him.
Dipo, Sabonis, Warren and Brogdon made big leaps on their career with him as coach. The kind of leaps we need with Biid and Ben.
This is funny tho.. hahahaha

Re: Sixers new HC search thread
In an appearance this week on JJ Redick's podcast, Kevin Love discussed what makes Lue such a solid coach, and the particular skill that Love highlighted will probably resonate with Sixers fans' current frustrations.
Here's what Love had to say:
Ty Lue is great.
With Ty Lue, it was like, 'Okay, we were an underachieving regular season team.' But when it came time for the playoffs, he was like, 'I got this.' Everything he set up for us, he just had a brilliant mind for his schemes, and his Xs and Os, his ATOs, everything that he did. It just made more sense moving forward when it came to playoff time.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Outside of Wright and Lue, any other notable names?

I have to disagree. Any coach going into Kyrie's "Mad World" is the worst opening. The dude is a straight up team killer.

Brent Barry should be a candidate. But Brand will overlook him.
