FWIW looking at the Celtics board thread about Teague they're not exactly jumping for joy.

I had a fine time earlier reading them melt down about Hayward walking.

Not concerned about Teague. He's completely washed and his game has fallen off a cliff.

Morey mentioned in his presser that teams make mistakes when forced to address all needs before the season starts. If the right deal isn't there, he'll be willing to roll with what we have.

Teague is fine if you are looking for a third team PG, more than that is just being hopeful.

Rivers is better than Teague at this point and not a horrible fit here, but should not be a full or close to it MLE.

GR III, Markieff, Napier, some interesting guys out there they might be signing somewhere right now.

At this point, it's a trade, Rivers or we stand pat.

Ilyasova and Jeff Green should still be considered.

Sixers are just waiting for the official signing period to announce any of the big moves.

SKIP BAYLESS SAYS STUPID THINGS IN ALL CAPS AND USING ALL CAPS DOES NOT MAKE HIM SOUND LIKE ANY LESS OF AN IDIOT.

Almost forgot about Ersan, how could I?

Sure, but if we're looking at teams that are willing to dump a contributor, they probably don't really care as long as they are getting some draft capitol back.

Im just highlighting that our guys are just random expiring turds.

I'm not a fan of his, but he's not wrong with that take.

Vin Fosh is right more often than Skip and he isn't even really trying.

I'm gonna keep banging this drum: Zhaire Smith and Mike Scott for George Hill and Mike Muscala.

Can easily add this onto our pending Horford trade, or do a completely separate trade. Doesn't matter. OKC saves $3M and gets a young athletic prospect for their rebuild. We get vets who fit for a playoff run.

Win-Win

Is this counting future savings as well? I think George Hill makes about 9 mil next year. Scott is expiring, and Zhaire I imagine can expire if not given a qualifying offer. Saving 9 mill on a backup PG could be attractive, unless they want to pump Hill for a first. Not likely going to get much more than an expiring.

I could see them possibly getting a second, but a guy like Zhaire may be more valuable than a second. Zhaire had injuries and got buried on the roster. His career doesn’t look promising, but a flyer on him for a rebuilding team is worthwhile.

OKC saves $3M this season. Then Scott expires and they can keep Zhaire on his option if they want.

For us, George Hill is only guaranteed for $1.2M next year. So we can waive and stretch him. And Muscala is an expiring.

Serge Ibaka going to the Clippers for only 2 years and 19 mil. Player option on 2nd year. That certainly helps our chances against the Raptors this year. Now if we can get Marc Gasol to head west too or back to Spain then Raptors would really be in trouble with depth in their frontcourt, when there are not many options left out there.

Well that makes our offer a little less appealing. But Hill would be a good acquisition if we could make it happen.

Muscala hit the big shot that kept the Thunder at 21 and gave us an unexpected first round pick this year, gotta love him for that alone.

We could start the year with Scott as our 3/4 combo guy, but hopefully not end it that way. Still structurally need a little more 4/5 depth and another competent ball handler, even if just minimum guys, though obviously hoping for better.
