He's leading the NBA in TS at a ridiculous .796 w/a career high 26.4 pp100. Obviously unsustainable, yet he's def a good bet to put up crazy good numbers by the time the season is over.
He's shown he can shoot (obviously), attack a closeout into the midrange, get closer and use the floater, or get all the way to the rim. He's shown he can run the P&R and DHO effectively too. He competes on defense and hasn't been exploited much on that end. All of this has unlocked the Ben + Jo lineup, perhaps even better than when Redick was here.
Plus, he's locked in for the next 3 years at $8M/yr. What a steal of a trade.

He's so much more effective than Redick simply because he's not a complete zero on defense. While he can't make those crazy laterally moving 3 pointers in traffic like Redick, he is so much more deadly on the wide open looks. And as you said, he can do so much more on the dribble than Redick ever could. This is the best value contract in the NBA even when he cools down a little bit which has to happen eventually, right?

Its still hard for to process how good he is and how good of a fit. Is this for real? If so, how has he gotten so cheaply.
Even without the fit, I have a hard time taking Richardson over Curry. I feel like Richardson is mediocre to pretty good at a lot of things whereas Curry has been very good at good amount of things. Either way both are role players and I think I'd rather have more efficient/elite low usage player.

I want to say its because Seth was a liability on defense against the Clips. But Seth has the highest plus minus among their guys in the playoffs.

That’s JJ Redick. Not Seth Curry.

That's because you're choosing to evaluate the take while Seth hitting over 3 threes per game at a nearly 60% clip. Why not wait for reality to set in before judging it?
What I've always said is Seth presents no defense and no shotcreation (which has been 100% the case through 8 games).
Why do you think Seth will prevail where other shooting specialist have let us down in the playoffs?
