Got to love it, Celticsblog predicted that Embiid wouldn't break 18 pts b/c refs wouldn't give him "fouls."

Personally what i hate is just that the game thread opens and the hate just starts straight away, one mistake or miss and its just an avalanche of hate. Almost like he has to have a perfect game. I mean everyone know his flaws, yelling constantly like the sky is falling is not changing that. He is either going to be traded down the line when an appropriate deal comes along or you have to get used to what he might be (either as a player or on this team) and that is a bigger iggy clone.

Huh? He's probably played the worst basketball of his career this year...

Only on offense though, he's had elite impact overall. The poise he has when running the offense is something else man.

I mean... He was All-defensive 1st team last year, and he's averaging the most turnovers of his career on his lowest usage of his career. Feels like an odd time to call out Brett while he's clearly having a bad year by his standards this year. He had a good game and was great down the stretch. Hopefully he can build on that and get out of his slump.

They didn't for a lot of the game, and then gave him some makeup calls at the end.

6-1 against them in the last seven regular season games now and five wins in a row at fargo. Funny how things are now they are the ones playing without a star huh? :D

Buddy, it's a game thread on a message board. Lower your expectations.

The floater was crazy. That would transform his offensive game if he developed a semi consistent runner

That was new right? If Sam Cassell can make this Ben happen more than once every 10 games he deserves a damn statue.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Embiid's reliance on fouls is a narrative at this point, watch carefully how much more efficient he is from the floor. This bodes well for Playoffs.
Great takes since 2024-04-20

Guys got to foul him or he just scores that many more points outright. Nothing bogus about his MVP level game right now.

We saw Ben play like this for an entire month in Jan. 2020. We should see more of this assuming he is healthy. I think the beginning of the season is probably a slump or not fully healthy.

Meh, Celtics playing without Tatum and we needed Embiid to score 40 points to win.

Still not really impressed with the team. Obviously the fit is better than last year but there is still no real offense against decent/good teams other than spamming Embiis isos.

I would move Maxey or Milton into the starting lineup in place of Green.

11-5 is all well and good, but Morey had better make a move or two before the deadline

Yeah, Danny's low hanging fruit for improvement in the lineup. I don't think Maxey gives you anything with the starters though. Just makes your spacing and defense worse since he'd be the 5th option with those guys.

Cavs SMOKE the Nets again. Nets are overrated. They went all-in on O but sacrificed too much D and depth.

Pretty impressive that we keep sweeping these 2 game series even with the competition level

Nets need to move Kyrie, he is the odd man out. Doubt any team will give real value for him though.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
