It’s kind of funny how much Sixers fans underestimate Lowry lol. I partially want this trade to happen so another fan base can actually see how good he is.

But also, my soul would be crushed to see him play elsewhere. So I’m super torn

There is a difference between liking a player and valuing him in assets expended. We all know Lowry and have wanted him for years, but the alleged packages to get him at his current age for a win now/soon team would deplete us in other areas. At the right price we would love to have him.

Has nothing to do with lowry as a player. It's about his age and contract length.

I hope you get your wish and the Raptors, in return, get Iguodala, Olynyk, Chris Silva, and a second rounder.

That'll show us! We'll be so owned!

Na

He’s what about a 35% three point shooter now days? I get he’s a leader but I’d rather have D Green he’s bigger and a better defender.

He's shooting 39% for the year, better than his career average.

But i share some of the concerns around making this move

According to K O'Conner the heat have offered Precious Achiuwa, Kelly Olynyk, and Kendrick Nunn for Lowry.
The sixers something on the lines of Thybulle/1st and they are trying to find a third team [to re-route expiring contracts I suppose].

Well losing Green AND Tisse would hurt so I dont' know if it's true.

According to Marc Stein it may be true https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2064759&start=300. If we're not giving up Maxey it has to be Thybulle. If feel like at this point Daryl is trying to save face. He knows that he wouldn't give up Maxey for Harden, now if he gives him up for Lowry, he'll look like a fool, seeing that it might have been enough for Harden.

Sigh...

Oh, are Ben Simmons and 3 picks going to Toronto in this deal as well?

LOl, naw, but if you're giving up Maxey and maybe Thybulle, why not go and try and get Lavine, or Brogdon with a couple of first rounders thrown in.

I will lose my **** if we trade Matisse for this over-the-hill 35-year-old. Danny Green alone is an overpay. We need to stop treating him like he's just an expiring.

Particularly if it's Danny and Matisse. This seriously compromises our defensive dominance.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

I don't think they're gonna trade Thybulle.

If they did it I guarantee there would be another move to bring in a bench wing. It's not like they would trade Thybulle and just give all the minutes to Furk and the G Leaguers.

Lol ya he's turning 35 in a couple days, but saying he's over the hill is inaccurate. Check out his stats below... Not to mention he's still an above average defender & leads the league in charges drawn on the defensive end. Btw Danny wouldn't currently be an asset for us since we'd only be dealing Lowry if we're throwing in the towel this season, if he's included it would only be for salary matching purposes.
