I don’t believe in any report saying we are trading Thybulle+ for Lowry

Lol. Only an idiot or desperate GM would offer assets for the privilege of paying Lowery 25 mil. Either the report is wrong or Lowry is completely unrealistic.

I like Lowry but he is injury prone and 35. Heat can afford to take the risk moreso than us. Precious will be very good imo
(Heat might load up again on Oladipo with Herro or Duncan)

It’s a wide open season here, Biggest threat is the Nets/Bucks but both have their own problems

Lakers health will always be questionable moreso with Davis and of course James getting older.

Our own health is questionable too.

If I was too pick a darkhorse on each side making the finals it would be the Suns in the West and the Heat in the East if they get Lowry and Oladipo

Butler, Bam, Lowry, Oladipo, Dragic, Iggy etc. That’s a high quality lineup that should be a threat to anyone in the East imo.

Like 44 mil+ in expirings (Ariza, Olynyk, Leonard, Bradley even more with iggy) young prospects in Robinson, Herro, Precious..... yeah Pat is going to load up I reckon lol.

Just got Ariza and Leonard is gone.

But yeah, Miami does probably have the assets to get both Oladipo and Lowry.

Good for them. Not losing sleep over that.

Keith's first report was that he wanted 2-60.

2-50 is heading the right direction but not nearly low enough yet.

Yeah they have plenty for both no question

Butler, Adebayo, Lowry, Dragic, Oladipo, Iggy possibly is a f**k ton of experience.

This is extremely encouraging. If the Sixers are going to pay up for a Tampa guard it has to be Powell.

Lol ya he's turning 35 in a couple days, but saying he's over the hill is inaccurate. Check out his stats below... Not to mention he's still an above average defender & leads the league in charges drawn on the defensive end. Btw Danny wouldn't currently be an asset for us since we'd only be dealing Lowry if we're throwing in the towel this season, if he's included it would only be for salary matching purposes.

Green would/should be flipped to a 3rd team for a pick or picks. Just because Toronto can't use him doesn't mean he has no value in a trade.

I will be very happy if I wake up to see Lowry is a member of the Heat. Or if he announces he is staying with the Raptors.

For sure, not saying he doesn't have value, he definitely does to a contender, but I'd be surprised if anybody would pony up much more than a 2nd rounder for him.

I wouldnt give him 20 mil per year either. I am not betting on Lowry's health, ability to keep his current level of play and find his role on the team. This is my upside. If Lowry wants to come on a bargain contract in the summer to play meaningful basketball he can do that, if he wants to get as much money as he can he could stay a Raptor. Or try to get them from Riley. I dont mind either.

If I'm not wrong, there are only 3 players signed through age 35 and 36 in the NBA earning more than 15M: LBJ, Chris Paul and Horford.
Find the odd man out.
We can't make the same mistake 2 times in 3 years.

EDIT: technically even LMA who could be cut in few hours.
