KD is the better player but by far the biggest nightmare on the Nets is Irving no doubt for me.

If Trae can give us trouble wait until Kyrie plays us.

I won’t be too disappointed if Irving has multiple 40 point games. Thybulle has his work cut out here he’s earning his contract and then some. Irving is fantastic when all he has to do is score.

Maybe it’s just me.

There’s a trend I’m noticing that refs allow less physicality than before in the playoffs. Usually i find the playoffs to be more physical. An example more relatable was the non-calls Biid was getting during the Celts series.

So it’s now impossible it is to defend stars, and this lead to teams are trying to get the ball out of the stars hands and letting the other guys beat them. I saw this with Trae, Biid, Doncic and just last night against Mitchell and the Jazz.

If this trend continues, you may not need to form a superteam to win it. Just maybe 2 guys who can make sure you can create 4v5 situations then move the ball at all times and let a collective unit of shooters beat the other team.

Like last year’s playoffs, there was an increased frequency in zone defense. This year is more on trapping the star scorer.

*does not apply for Giannis though

Utah is another example of how you can never have enough playmakers. Mitchell, Clarkson, Ingles, Bogdonavic, and Conley (not even playing) is just such an overwhelming group.

We have Embiid, Harris, Maxey, Korkmaz (?), and Shake? Definitely need to bolster our perimeter scoring and playmaking this summer to keep up with where the rest of the league is.

I think it’s less about the refs and more that guys are better at drawing fouls. All of these moves guys are making leading the defender into hitting their arms have always been fouls, it’s just no one would really practice them or regularly try them in games before I guess Harden. Now it’s a fundamental thing that guys practice just like you would practice shooting free throws and so on.

People blame the refs but it’s just more difficult to ref when guys are doing stuff like that. You can try to allow more physicality but some fouls are just fouls. It’s on the league to change the rules, like they did when they outlawed the Reggie Miller leg kick out. Or when they made the rip through not a shooting foul.

And if they take all that stuff away they should probably also restructure the charge rule to balance it out.

Tough look to get swept in the second round with the MVP on your team. You gotta win at least one.

Denver has a built in excuse, their 2nd best player is out. And for all his talent, MPJ is a blockhead.

I’m hoping for a “cupcake” chant from the Milwaukee crowd in Game 6…

Why is Trae the only one who gets balding chants?

I don't think that applies to Jo, really. His cheap fouls are rip-throughs.

Baron Corbin needs to go on a tour of NBA lockerrooms giving the speech on when he finally pull the trigger on a shave.

Mike D’Antoni is the exact opposite type of coach the Blazers need.

If he goes to the Mavs, however, Doncic will win 5 straight MVPs and lose in the first and second round every one of those years.

 You're not wrong, but they might make the Western Finals once.

Embiid says he couldn't jump at the end of the last game. :nonono: That's a real bummer.

Chris Paul's status for the next round is questionable. Basketball is the worst sport.

The title is there for the taking: it could be literally last man standing. We have as good a chance as any if Embiid's knee holds up'

If that's the deal, which I hope it's not, then that really kills the favorite (in my mind) to win it all.
