Agreed, right now he is unplayable. Give Hill all his minutes. I guess they'll keep playing him until the playoffs to see if he can get out of his funk though. Because without a productive Shake we're in deep trouble.

Maxey have been replacing the Shake production great while playing mostly off the ball. Which is precissely what Shake needs to do.

Shake needs to clean his act, it seems like if he's not taking the shot he's totally peevish. Some of the passes he tries are impossible to catch and awful
Maxey really needs that that three ball to improve though.

I’m a cry baby? I am okay with the Suns winning, like I said in an earlier post. But all this talk by forum experts saying that Milton was the next big thing (they know who they are) was premature and totally off the mark. It was tiring at the time, and the stance looks even more ridiculous now.

He's letting it fly, which is a great first step. I don't think his shot is there yet but the early indications, to me at least, are that he can improve vastly his shoot next season.

Shake needs the wake up call and if Hill And Maxey can put pressure onto him, we are in better shape.

We don’t need maxey to shoot well. We need a guard who can break down the defense in the half court. And Maxey can breakdown the defenders. He’s a little wild at time. He had a mid season rookie hitting the wall. But he’s looked solid the past two games.

Embiid played well offensively but he had way too many turnovers with 8.
Shake was a** if he cant shake off the suck and adapt to playing off ball it will hurt this team.
Maxey played well and hit some timely shots, he doesnt really give you much other than and cant be depended on.
Danny green played well on both ends no complaints.
George Hill contributed and looked more involved. I think hes used to just bringing the ball up and spreading the floor with the last few teams hes been on. He will soon learn he needs to stay aggressive as a ballhandler because we dont have many.
Tisse has Booker locked up for most of the game. 0field goals tho

Considering Shake has been pretty meh at best all year I don’t know where these alleged forum experts posts claiming he’s the next coming are at...

Dudes get praised when they play well not so much when they struggle. Not sure why this is a new concept

Maxey currently cannot play with Ben... which caps any idea of him being in a rotation right now

Oh! So those posts should be available then. Would love to see them.

Look at the Welcome Shake Milton thread around the early January period. Maybe not said explicitly, but definitely implied with lots of hot takes.

If you want quotes, I can give, but no point calling individual people out when it was so widespread:

“We should never include shake in an trade as a throw in. He’s just a natural scoring machine. Some guys just know how to score. And he’s on cheap contract. If we can only merge Shake natural offensive ability with Ben defense. We have a top 2 nba player on our team. Even better than Embiid.”

Other beauties from other experts:
McCollum with better defense
Becoming the best contract in the NBA
Maybe we have Harden all along

And it goes on

Can someone create a "We should waive Shake Milton" thread so he can score 38 points the next game and the pendulum swings the other way?

Watching the replay it looked like Book traveled on that late step back over Tisse.

All time greatest shot if that had gone in? Not a playoff winner or nothing, but rebounding and throwing that javelin full court with a second left...I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything near as impressive.

I mean, for his production he's objectively one of the best contracts on the league and you can bargain that for stuff like picks. I don't see how that's not a real thing.

Some people were really arguing we don't need Lavine, Beal or even Harden because we have Shake freaking Milton.

Shake is a good player but he’s a fool’s gold (so do all our young players).

Shake is limited because he has a dribbling skills of a power forward. He can’t move side to side, only straight forward.

But make no mistake that he is a better shooter and player than what he has shown in the last 2-3 games.

Still currently I’m not buying Embiid’s offense in close games (8 turnovers) yet.

Elite big men needs high lvl facilitators/creators anyway by default. But the payout is enormous if it does happen.

We haven’t got 94’ Hakeem just skip it to 95’

CJ should be into the barrel in the off-season

It’s not CP3/Leonard lvl

But I can’t see anyone else that fits the bill currently. Process of delineation or by the sums never ever works.

I’m off on Lavine (too suspect for my taste), Beal is A okay.

Derozan is a no go too. Gotta spread the area out.

Our defense is fine even if Ben gets traded I’m not worried about that. Though he still is very valuable to us. Harris and co. not so much. If Matisse showed signs of an offensive game he’d rank a ton higher but I can’t see him as a Danny Green replacement
(Better Roberson sure but your going to need heavy firepower as an offset).

Cash in the chips in the off-season when the inevitable comes to pass.

^ i can rely on Embiid’s late game scoring if he can sustain his shooting its just he needs help like most guys (even Harden or LeBron) and maybe having Tobi would have made the difference.

Harden to the Suns?

And yes, the way Shake is playing at the moment, he's untradeable. Nobody is going to give anything for him
