That’s the best deal I’ve seen so far. Helps both teams. Blazers get Edwards and potentially a top three pick to choose a downright stud (even at 4 you are going to get someone really really good, Suggs/Mobley are studs). And extra picks
So the rebuild starts off very very nicely with two potential All Stars with improved ceilings from the jump. Then they can trade CJ/Nurkic and accumulate assets Ala OKC. No bias that’s the route Blazers should take. Shouldn’t have traded Gary Trent Jr that’s a really good asset to have in a rebuild imo. Powell is good but the timeline is wonky (Rather have GTJ starter material at a young age you keep in a rebuild).

Edwards
Powell
Simons
Top lotto pick this year
Extra 1st rounders plus their own picks.
Plus extra stuff for trading CJ/Nurkic

Nice war chest to build from (Jealous lol).

We get Lillard so we are set to go all in for the next two years.

Just to clarify, Minny would be sending their FRP next year. In my scenario, I’m assuming their pick will convey to GS this year.

Maxey/Hield/Downtin

I don't see Minnesota trading Edwards and a pick for Ben

Oh I definiitely think they would. Ben is boys with DLo and Towns and fits their games to a T.

No thank you from POR.

When they lose Game 6…. blowing it up has to be a serious consideration on the table. This team cannot win as currently constructed.

Edwards alone is worth more than Ben especially since he’s on a much cheaper deal

I think your best deal is Dame but Idk if Portland would actually deal him

Edwards is probably untouchable though

I was holding out hope that we could do Ben for S&T DeRozan and picks, but I'm not sure Pop even wants Ben for his massive contract.

Anthony Edwards is fugazi. Not a strong enough slasher to build an offense around. He's just going to jack up a bunch of threes and score off mid-range pick and roll.

Portland has interesting pieces outside of Dame and CJ. I wonder if they'd empty their asset chamber for Simmons. I would think a big three of Lillard, CJ, and Simmons would have to be intriguing. I'd take Simons, Collins, Cov, and a couple picks. Too bad they moved Trent at the deadline.

Lillard or bust. I’m speaking it into existence or just get Jalen flipping Green. Anything is better then this pile atm.

Chicago just stupidly traded for Vucevic, so they want to win now. We also know Eversley likes Harris and Thybulle. They have Coby White and Zach LaVine.

Wonder if they would also be interested in Ben? Have to imagine they would, right? Star power and all that.

Not proposing anything at this time, just thinking about the options available.

Speaking of options, I’m sure GSW would be all over trading for Simmons to replace Draymond. Problem is, they will both want to dump Wiggins and get a replacement wing out of it.

Really need Minnesota to keep their pick but not hit #1.

At this point something as gross as ben for wiggins is something we should thank GSW for.

They will get more use out of ben because other teams wont treat him like a coddled prince they will tell him put up or shut the hell up

Bulls are a possible good target

They just lost 2 first round picks

I would offer ben simmons, shake, 2 firsts for lavine

I woukd then do all I can to either sign lowery to the MLE or do a sign and trade. Try to keep green if possible

Lowery/maxey
Lavine/curry
Green/korkmaz
Tobias/thybulle as a small 4
Embiid/dwight

Minnesota is the best target as they're desperate and Ben is boys with D'Lo and Towns:

Sixers trade / Wolves receive:
PG Ben Simmons
2021 Sixers 1st Round Pick

Wolves trade / Sixers receive:
PG Ricky Rubio
2021 Wolves 1st Round Pick (assuming it conveys) - pick Jalen Suggs or Cade Cunningham

Rubio would be a decent stopgap for a year or two while Suggs or Cunningham develops.

PG Rubio | Maxey
SG Curry | Shake
SF Green | Min 1st
PF Harris | Kork
CE Embiid | FA

I actually think a Minnesota trade would make sense because Towns and Russell have clout within the organization and can push hard for a trade. If that's the case, I'm asking for a massive first rounder picks and swap return and Jarred Vanderbilt, who is, ironically, a self aware Ben Simmons (he knows he's a PF that has passing ability and elite defense but isn't going to demand to be a PG).
