Dammit so that means end of ECF if we make it that far, or ready for the finals. Ughgg

A lot of people probably don’t think it’s a big loss, because Danny can’t guard quick guards anymore, but I think he is a significant contributor. He is very matchup dependent these days, not a guy you crave as your starter, but a solid player to have at your disposal.

If we advance agains the Nets, our defensive matchups aren’t ideal. You would think Danny would be an option to get a chunk of minutes on Harden, if that matchup occurs. Tobias may have to guard Durant a large chunk of mins, with Ben on Kyrie, and Thybulle on Harden, which leaves us with guys guarding smaller, quicker players. Early on, it’s not an easy team to hide Seth defensively. Maybe more George Hill, and Ben gets some minutes on Durant. I don’t think Danny would have been a key player, but it likely hurts not having an experienced defender to take some minutes on these guys.

Experience matters in playoffs. Losing green hurts. When we all heard about the injury. We had a feeling it would be 2 weeks on average. Seems like every team has had significant injuries (2 or more starters
Missing 10 plus games this season) this season except the Suns.

But Danny green has been our most healthy starter all season and now this happens.

Kork has got to give us 20 solid minutes. Throw in a little maxey and. A lot of shake. But it’s gonna to be hard to make up those 28-30 playoff minutes green was playing.

Well Kork is gunning for a new contract so now is the perfect time to prove his worth.

Losing Danny is bad because he is still a solid 3&D guy and a proven winner, but if others step up this can increase their future potential trade value so this is a silver lining as well.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
