First of all, I trust Morey.
Doc will stay, there is no question about it.
Let’s be real, we had a very good season.
But, we need changes.

As of now, I want only one thing:
Simmons, Milton, 2021 FRP, 2022 swap, 2023 FRP, 2024 swap, 2026 swap, 2027 FRP (top5 protected) for Damian Lillard.

Basically Simmons + Milton + bunch of late 1st rounders for Dame and his huge contract.
I don’t want to lose Maxey nor Thybulle. But if it takes one of them to finish the deal, let it go, go all in.

If Dame is not available, stop babying Simmons, keep him, but find a scorer somehow. Keep Curry. We need shooting.
I’m against trading Simmons for something that won’t take us to the next level, which is clearly title. Trading Simmons for CJ for me is not going to change nothing. Semis exit again or ECF exit with no shot at title.
We all know that.

The ideas of trading Simmons for CJ will change the picture, yes, we will have someone who can score, but in reality, we won’t be title favorites. Morey knows that.

Of course I’d like Dame, or Brogdon for that matter, but I kinda wish Simmons would go on one of those “Hiawatha” spiritual journeys I’ve read about, and then practice foul shots and play street ball the rest of the summer.

My plan is pretty simple. Trade Tobias for draft assets and/or guards on rookie contracts to a team with cap to absorb some salary and take 1 year salary in return. Then trade George Hill's contract for a high volume 3&D wing or a shooting guard with off the dribble ability. Move Simmons to the 4 with no more ball handling responsibility and a mandate to shoot corner 3s at a greater clip than Harris did overall. Hand the keys to Maxey. Keep developing the young guys. That's about it.

Embiid is 1B.

I need a 1A.

If I’m gonna trade Ben, he’s gonna be a part of the treasure chest of assets for a 1A or for an asset that can lead us to 1A (i.e Jalen Green or Anthony Edward and a vet)

Now.. if there are no package that can lead me to that path.

Here’s my plan.

Get a vet PG who can run the pick and roll.
This guy is a transitionary placeholder for the eventual 1A.

The guys in the FA who are possible:
1.) Reggie Jackson
2.) Spencer Dinwiddie
3.) Kyle Lowry

If I can’t get them thru FA, I’ll explore S&T or straight up trade for one using:
- George Hill
- Shake Milton
-28th pick

Why I would prioritize trading Milton. Because I dont think he’s happy with his role and was quite disappointed with his role last season after pretty much was our starting guard in 2019-2020.

I’ll also be looking for the Jj Redick archetype, which Seth is playing right now. The guys im looking at are:
1.) JJ
2.) Patty Mills
3.) Wayne Ellington
Why? So we have a back-up in case Seth has an off night or getting attacked on defense. While Seth can be our 6th man.

I’d also be looking for a stretch 5 and the guys im looking at are
1.) Baynes
2.) Theis
3.) Portis

Then by next season im gonna play this way

Biid will space the floor like brook lopez until we trade Ben
Ben will play with a stretch 5 and staggered with Biid

At the middle of the season.
Ben will average atleast 20-8-8

Then by the middle of the season, I’m gonna trade him to the highest bidder.

What am I doing?
First off, this is how the modern NBA plays. This type of basketball will win games.

No, Biid will not be Brook Lopez. We still will rely on him. But we will take away some of his usage on offense. We will pump his numbers and let him play the way he wants to play at some point then revert back to this way if we can sense fatigue. Hell.. embiid may even miss the early part of the season so this maybe a perfect time to do this plan

Second, this will make Ben look good and really pump his value as an asset. And this is not a fake pump, because most teams can play this way and will play this way such as the Clips and possibly the Wolves.

Then third..

..wait someone is calling

Clips and Wolves are both on the phone.

Clips want Ben for Kawhi

Wolves want Ben for Edwards

Let me leak this out and let the league know to start the bid war.

Last season we are like 2017-2018 sixers.

We build a team like 2019-2020 sixers and make Ben look good. Then we will get us a 1A like 2018-2019 Sixers by mid season.

Oh and Tobi? He will continue to improve and his contract wont be as bad in the offseason, where I’ll also trade his ass.

What if no one bites?

I think we’ll be a much better team than this season. Then tell Biid to not make any drama he’s gonna get his supermax and we’re gonna trade Ben not later than next season.

Thanks for your input and i value it highly.

I just feel like it’s more of a swiss army knife approach than just flat out bringing just a knife to survive in the wild. We dont know what the landscape will be a week or a month from now.

..who knows maybe its Doncic who will ask for a trade and we have already traded Ben for CJ McCullom

Its like if we go straight to just trying to trade Ben. We may lose an opportunity to get someone like dinwiddie for cheap because we were holding too long on something to happen that wont happen. While Dinwiddie is a guy who we can use to pump Ben’s value and in the long term we can use as a 6th man.

I feel like that was our situation last season when we were kind of in the mix for cp3 then i feel like we just let it go because we were eyeing for Harden.

Then when Harden deal didnt went through. We just try to fix the team with a lot of temporary band aids and constructed the 2017-2018 squad which was the easiest way to construct.

#1 order of business is get rid of Tobias. He needs to go even more than Ben, and with his "all-star" season there may never be a better time to sell high on him.

Really want the rumored Tobias for CJ swap to happen.

I’ll start with I trust Morey. Colangelo was a Moron. Brown was out of his league.

#1. Get a friggin point guard! Ben Simmons is not and never has been a point guard.
-there are different ways to accomplish that. Trade Ben. Trade someone else and move Ben to power forward. Possibly (free agency)

#2. Get a couple of Bench PCs.( as exposed in the playoffs the bench was just bad.
let Korkmaz go if he takes more than the minimum. Bring Howard back for the min.

#3 Develope Maxey and Thybulle( they both need more playing time).
#4 trade this years FRP.( wee need players who will help now not 3 years from now) if you can’t get a legit player trade the pick for a future FRP ( trade asset)

Lowry (S&T 3-75), DeRozan (S&T 3-75), Love, and #4 to PHI
Harris and #50 to SAS
#3 and 2024 SAS 2nd to TOR
This idea is basically Simmons for Love and 3, and then dropping one spot with TOR to get a Kyle Lowry S&T. Adding in the Harris for DeRozan S&T makes it all work financially. While I’m not big on Lowry, I am big on Jalen Suggs. And Lowry won’t hurt to try and win next year. He hopefully also convinces DeRozan to get on board with the matching salaries.
2)Hill (1.4 guaranteed), Milton, Maxey, and 2023 1st to DET for Bey
This is an overpay, but required to get Bey. He balances the roster and his salary is low enough to get the payroll down so this whole thing works. Also I really like this kid and think he could be an All-Star someday.
3)Draft Jalen Suggs at 4
4)Draft Trey Murphy III at 28
5)Sign Gorgui Dieng (2-8.1M) with part of the tMLe
