I should also mention that Keon Ellis shot the lights out on motion three point shooting. Had a bit of a dip on stationary shooting. His advanced stats are insane this past year. Another second rounder I'd consider. Less upside as a ball handler, but intriguing FTr to go with his 3PAr. Also a career 3.3 STL% at Alabama. He'll hang around the league for a while. Seems like he's if Isaiah Joe had a junior year at Arkansas but with less volume.

Interesting that Marjon Beauchamp has some mutual interest with the Sixers. I haven’t watched much of his tape but a good reminder that a well-run org with success stories like Maxey makes us appealing to players.

Targeting Beauchamp to me screams that Thybulle is gone. He even sorta looks like a Tisse / Pharrell hybrid.

Negrodamus wrote:Finally, I saw Hugo Besson and Collin Gillespie were the best overall shooters in the combine shooting drills, it seems like. Villanova guards seem to have an ability to stick around the league. I know Gillespie was a 5th year player, and will be 23 in June, but I'm not above taking him in the second round if we don't think he'll go undrafted. He's not my first choice, but 6'3 with an elite shooting profile makes him allure for sure.

He's got some Steve Kerr in him (although they never chanted his name AFAIK) with regard to complete lack of fear of the big moment. If he gets to the right place (here would be perfect despite Glenn's reluctance to play kids), he's going to be a 3-pt. assassin off the bench.

Man, if some of you guys didn't like Jalen Johnson because of his flakiness, you'll hate Beauchamp. Dude hasn't been in one place since middleschool, lol.

Andrew Nembhard having his combine moment today. Kicking ass as the lead guard. Still has a goofy jumper, but it’s money. One of the best passers in this draft.

I really hope we don't take Beauchamp.

He's a great defender, but he's going to be 21 in October and he's extremely unskilled (24% from three, 65% from free throw). I'm completely over the concept of drafting defensive players and crossing my fingers hoping they manufacture offensive skill.

We could be picking at #23. Jaden Hardy mocked at #21. Feels eerily similar to the Cam Thomas situation from last year. I'm willing to move a Milton to move up a slot or two to ensure we get him.

Jalen Williams and Justin Lewis posted insane measurements: 7’2.25” and 7’2.5” wingspan respectively.

Would love to get one or more (by trading Thybulle?) of those 2, EJ Liddell and/or Wendell Moore.

I liked Ousmane Dieng heading into the season, but he had a terrible year in his new league. Why is he mocked in the lotto?

Malaki Branham is already the best player in this draft and now he has a 6'10" wingspan, ontop of it?!?!?!

How is this dude not mocked #1? Or even top 5?

1) not a strong draft
2) shows shooting/ballhandling potential as a teenager with legit wing size
3) Ball and Giddey had unimpressive stat lines in that league at his age and transitioned to the NBA ok

That said, I think he's a pretty weak lottery pick

I agree that Ball and Giddey's terrible shooting splits were similar to Dieng's, but the two of them put up insane rebounding and passing numbers. Dieng doesn't really have any standout ancillary traits to combat his bad percentages and mediocre per-minute scoring output.

Liddell seems to have a lot of the qualities we’re lacking on this team. So does Eason, but seems he’ll be long gone by the time we pick.

Great fit with Harden, Embiid, and Maxey. If we're stuck with Tobi, he'd be a nice option off the bench.

This guy is a better prospect than Thybulle has ever been.
