For his sake, I hope the mock was dated before the season began and before Jabari Smith clearly left them in the dust for all to see.

Having anyone mocked over Smith at this point is embarrassing.

I've been pulled away from draft talk this year, but I'm going to deep dive this upcoming week. Prepare for some of the hottest and worst takes you've ever seen.

Smith Jr isn’t the full quota just yet so having Chet/Banch at number one is fine. He does lack in some areas but the trajectory is there. Like a Rashard Lewis but built around.

Tatum although smaller was more polished coming in.

So much for Eason being the Banton diamond in the rough 2nd rounder of the draft he’s an auto first rounder.

Dieng has been disappointing his shot just isn’t there at all.

Griffin Jr is still my darkhorse he’s an All Star prospect if I’ve ever seen one. I seen pick 18 on the NBA draft net mock which is an utter joke.

Draft overall is okay, the best one is also the riskiest one (Chet).

Interested to see where Jovic goes on draft day, lot to work with.

He’s top 3 for me after Jabari and Ivey. I think he may climb to number 2.

Hmmm I do like Ivey (called it before the College season started on this thread saying he’d pop off lol) but he isn’t Morant if that’s what people are comparing him to. Passing was Morant’s gifted skill ability.

Like Schroder on steroids, or Fox that actually plays defense.

Catching up on some of my Big 10 scouting and this kid stands out in a major way. Definitely an NBA level guard. His shooting is a major weakness that he'll need to improve during his sophomore season, but damn at his handle and first step. 6'4" 200 pounds, too.

I think it's a no brainer that he goes #2. His only weakness that I saw his freshman year was his jumper and now his shooting has really improved. He's the total package. Dribble, shoot, makes play on defense, and pass.

Need a step up game from A.J. Griffin today against Louisville. Scored in single digits in 3 of the last 4 games.

Duke's C Mark Williams is really good. He's either going to be an elite backup or a really solid starter C in the league. Strong rim protector and really good point production.

Listed at 7 foot 243 points. Will definitely need to bulk up to 260 or so, though.

A.J. Griffin is a really big-boned person. Reminds me of Kawhi's body build.

Griffin doesn't go on the ball and cook much. Must of his stuff inside the arc is offball cuts and stuff. I wonder how much scoring upside he has at the next level. Might just be a shooter.

How does Trevor Keels have zero (0) blocks through 17 games as a 6'4 guard? He couldn't get one again someone like the Citadel? Kinda strange.

I kinda like the little I've seen from Jake Laravia. Obviously a bit slow footed and I can't tell anything about his defense other than his decent BLK% & STL%. Offensively, he seems very in control when he has the ball in his hands. He's not producing the assists, but has a bit of the Kyle Anderson at UCLA vibes to him. His shot looks pretty decent too.

Yeah, it's kind of odd that he doesn't appear to contest many shots. Most of his defense comes from hounding ball handlers and playing passing lanes. I really like Keels as a role player. His spacing on offense combined with his steal generation makes him a major two-way helping hand.

Watching the full Duke game:

- Nobody on this Duke team scores like a star. Only guy who comes close to being a 1-on-1 player is Wendell Moore, and he's just marginally talented.
- A.J. Griffin is an awesome shooter in a big body.
- Mark Williams is an awesome shotblocker that finds a way to produce points when he's on the court.
- Banchero leaves a lot to be desired from a defensive and spacing perspective. I think he's pretty weak as a franchise player. He can score a lot of points (if you feed him a bunch of assists) and he's a good rebounder and passer, but he's not a great shotcreator, he doesn't space the floor, and he doesn't make enough plays defensively.
- Louisville sucks and there's no NBA talent on their team.

Terquavion Smith

34 points, 4 steals, and a block

Should go top 10.

Chet Holmgren should probably stay in school for another year but he wont. He's definitely talented, but is going to be a project in the NBA. If he works out I see Kevin McHale, Garnett, KP type of player for a long time in the league.

Huh? Chet’s been the best freshman this year. I reckon he’s more skillful and less of an injury concern than KP. Smith Jr is more of a project just to compare.
