Bryan Colangelo if he ran it back with a team that had an all-time franchise embarrassment playoff performance: "Get this nepotistic loser out of here! He's unable to land big stars, he's all talk. Bring in someone who can actually find creative ways to get great talent instead of this loser!"

Daryl Morey when he runs it back: "He's great at his job, he really didn't have any options!"

It really is amazing the leeway this dude gets simply because he made a great trade for Harden almost a decade ago and was the mentor of Sam Hinkie. Dude hasn't done jack squat in this league for years, and has been Joe Generic since hired by the Sixers.

Dude, he never had a negative record in his career.

He has the second BEST RS record since his first year in the NBA.

Philly fans are the most toxic fans in the NBA. His first year we were the number 1 team in the East after 20 years, yeah, he is a disaster.

Go to watch the Eagles, crybaby.

People hate Brand for making impatient deals, but also hate Morey for not doing the exact same thing. Our fans just need something to complain about at all times.

Context matters. Colangelo had an empty cap and a ton of assets. Morey has Ben "passed a layup" Simmons, Tobias "40 mln" Harris and bunch of meh young players. He made very good moves last year, now he can only make panic moves, cause everyone makes lowblow offers for Ben and Harris has no value.

The Bucks were the #1 team in the east. They won the east, therefore they were the #1 team in the east. Eastern Conference champs. The Sixers had the best record, only because the Nets were injury ridden. And were exposed in the playoffs. They went out in the 2nd round just like they did with previous regimes. Playoffs are all that matters, who cares about the regular season? The fact that the regular season record is the first defense you went to goes to show you how far standards have fallen for Sixers fans. Since the team hasn't won a title in almost 40 years, have to cling to regular season meaningless records because that's all the franchise has. God forbid they actually have higher standards and be judged on playoff success.

I didn't say he was a disaster, keep straw manning. I said he was Joe Generic since joining the Sixers. That doesn't equal disaster. That equals nothing special. He's made some ok moves. Goofed on some too that cost the Sixers when it mattered.

And I'd gladly watch the Eagles. They have a GM who's proven he can win a championship in Philadelphia, if nothing else. That doesn't clam up when he needs to pony up on a potential franchise-changing trade.

Trades i’d consider right now:
1.) Dame
2.) Sexton and the Cavs 2022 1st round pick

If we can’t trade Ben, just run it back with a much improved Milton and see if Milton bounces back.

If milton bounces back, enjoy having Milton and Maxey off the bench and possibly ending games with both guys at the backcourt.

Possibly end games with:
Maxey
Milton
Tobias
Ben
Embiid

If milton does not bounce back, try to package him with a sweetener (paul reed?) for a reliable scorer.

Possibly end games with:
Maxey
16-18ppg Reliable Scorer
Tobias
Ben
Embiid

This route will also inflate Ben’s numbers, that gives us better opportunities to trade him in the future.

What’s the going rate for Ingram without giving up Ben?

Harris, Maxey, Thybulle, Picks? I’d do a lot lol

Curry
Green
Ingram
Simmons
Embiid

Then trade using the leftover assets to upgrade the guard spot into a 3+D guard in the Ball mould.

That’s a $$$ lineup.

Anfernee Simons. Watch out. Needs to get paid next year. Now is pushed back even further with Powell because Blazers are dumb. Milton is that value contract

Said it in another thread but I like the kid. Watch out. Immediate extension 3/18 see if he bites before this season begins and sit back and enjoy.

We have a Maxey and unless we trade up for a star we need three young guards by my count. Maxey and Simons makes two.

Morey should have snapped up Cooper straight away.

That makes 3 and all is right in the world. They all do different things too. Cooper 10 assists 15 points, Maxey can go for 20+, Simons can get hotter than the sun (6 bombs and more) and will be the Curry replacement with more creation potential.

I should be GM lol, how easy was that to do.

Look I like Reed, Milton, Not Korkmaz and Joe, Thybulle whatever. But guards are guards. Heck I’d still go for Cooper and Anfernee right this very second while dealing with the bigger problems. The one eye on the future. Cooper isn’t on a real deal yet. Jump on the youngins before they hatch goddamn it!

We talked about Ball, NAW, White last year with nothing but an empty plastic bag caught in the wind.

Let them battle it out.

Maxey - 20 ppg
Cooper - 15/8
Simons - 14 super 40++ 3ball% super bomber

WE NEED THEM GIMME!

Blazers will run it back so CJ won’t be available until deadline at earliest IMO

For the Pels that’s a smart move. Ingram is such a big blocker that trumps us.

More I think about it, it’s not so much being gun shy the reality is Lillard might not even be the right course of action. Putting together a package for him the Pels have the upper hand (Ingram).

CJ might be more worthwhile imo.

This is when you get Cooper and Simons :). Little back door move for down the line

Doc is like Brown old and stubborn. They’ll play a player like Korkmaz for 20mins then realize he’s abit of a potato.

Or play Ben late in the 4th when he’s useless or Harris for 30 when he can’t score.

We are dysfunctional at best.

Maxey, Cooper and Simons would all rank very highly in how much they are underutilized/undervalued.

Maxey - On a crap team would have put up numbers

Simons - Lillard, CJ, Powell, Anthony, Kanter. leaves little room to create and fully extend. His 25+ min games are very encouraging. Breakout window with too much backlog. BUY NOW

Cooper -Two Way? Wtf he clearly has NBA guard traits.

So essentially I’m buying already better @ values currently with obvious room to grow in a spot we need 3x on depth and the kicker is they all bring variation.

Maxey - Scoring
Cooper - Floor General
Simons - Stone cold shooter

All three can mix and match and work together too :) :)

Beam me up I want to buy all three midgets and Kobble will be left in a mess lmao

This is an ideal fallback in investing on the future if we don’t land a star. Then we’ll be left with some digits up the rear behind because our best deal was bloody getting Drummond in FA in the off season.

We can still get Simons and Cooper and have enough leftover for the “star” package.

... What’s even better is I put house money they’ll be better assets in the end for the potential “star” package if need be in the years to come or later on. So win win all round.
