https://hoopshype.com/lists/nba-trade-candidates/

Cam Reddish, Coby White, and Joe Ingles seem like the most intriguing names from that list.

Hield/Bagley seems like the most gettable package on that list.

Hield, Bagley, Haliburton, picks/swaps for Simmons and Thybulle.

Do you really think we could get that though?

I'd be happy with that package if it was available.

This a 1000%. This is so hard as a fan.

As of now, there can only be a bad resolution = bad trade.

To me, as fan, a hope that we can and will trade Simmons for a difference maker is better then a bad resolution right now.

I'd sign for that in a second. Seems as if Fox and Haliburton are untouchable though.

I'd imagine so, depending on how flexible Morey is with the pick/swap demand.

Kings likely don't want to give up Haliburton, but the combination of taking Bagley off their hands and including Thybulle may tip the scales into getting them to part with him.

1) could Hield be a closer?
2) can Bagley be “fixed”? What’s his role here?
3) what does our starting line up/rotation look like after this trade?

1. No, but he can be a bigger, more athletic Redick type for us.

2. Not a fan of Bagley, I would waive him right after the trade.

F Harris
F Green
G Curry
G Haliburton

Hield, Korkmaz, Maxey, and Milton as the non-bigs off the bench.

No, and that's a good point. I feel like we'd still have the same issues in the last 5 minutes. We'd need internal development and/or another trade to be a legit contender. I do think that trade makes us better though.

Can't imagine Hield would be thrilled about coming off the bench.

Therein lies the Glenn problem. I don't see him removing Curry or Green from the starting lineup to accommodate Hield. Maybe a couple of months from now, we can send Green to Phoenix for Saric or Crowder.

Hield is coming off the bench for the Kings.

Him and Curry wouldn’t work defensively anyway.

This does show the issue of trading Simmons for multiple guys. This team has enough borderline starters, if anything it needs a consolidation trade.

Can't quote from the previous thread, so I'll just cut and paste what I wrote 6 days ago -

The December trade clarity and flexibility will hopefully include a Danny Green trade possibility, which could help with both salary matching and opening up a roster spot or two beyond Simmons' spot.

Held would be useful in the regular season. Completely worthless in the playoffs. Unless he's a negative asset in the trade (i.e. getting picks/swaps for taking his salary) no way.

You know the Danny experience. He's going to look like he was introduced to basketball yesterday for a couple weeks and then he's going to hit 60% of his 3s for the next couple of weeks. Don't get too high or too low.

Here’s a crazy three way trade I’m sure some of you will think is insane, but I’m gonna throw it out there anyway.

Houston trades Wall for Harris and Thybulle.

Sacramento trades Barnes, Bagley, Haliburton, and a 2022nd 1st for Simmons, Milton, and Reed.

Philly trades Simmons, Milton, Thybulle, Reed for Wall, Barnes, Bagley, Haliburton, and a 1st or a swap.

Philly ends up with:

John Wall/Tyrese Haliburton
Seth Curry/Tyrese Maxey
Danny Green/Furkan Korkmaz
Harrison Barnes/Georges Niang
Joel Embiid/Andre Drummond

At the deadline, we consolidate the roster further and turn Danny Green ++ into a solid 4 who can move Barnes to the 3.
