One issue with Fox's fit in Philly is that Embiid isn't a pick and roll big.

What's funny is that Fox used to be one of the best defensive guards in college basketball. The thing is sometimes when a player is carrying the load on offense they will take plays off on defense. I think if he comes here he would play good defense because the Sixers have a culture of playing defense.

Lillard looks terrible right now.. not sure if you trade Ben for him now and be stuck with an albatross contract or you buy low and it pays off

A guy like Morey wouldnt mind how Lillard is playing for he understand variance and sample size.

Personally, I wouldnt mind getting THAT guy as long as he can score with Embiid and carry the our offense without Embiid. Which I think Fox can.

Right now, i dont know if it’s by design or just the natural way of teams defending Biid, but Biid’s defender tends to not leave Biid at all on 2 man games. This usually leads guys like Seth or Maxey to take open jumpers or drives to the lane. And Biid’s defenders opt to help, Biid has good hands to catch the ball and pull up or attack the mismatch then kick it to shooters

Yeah sample size is low but how many games go.by until it's enough to question?

Only Morey can answer that.

Personally, I’d trade Ben for Lillard even if Lillard plays like this up to the deadline. But I’d probably have a back-up already just in case this is a real thing, where I can opt to have Lillard play in a smaller role like the role Seth is playing right now but have him do his thing on crunch time or just sitting him out for the season then explore competing next season or trading him to a team like the Pels who is also looking to win now.

I’ll create or wait for the right circumstances for me to play the cards you hand out to me. That’s how i’ll do it. You hand me a bad card, it means it just needs more work to make it work or more time for me to wait and play the cards.

I want to say Buy low sell high. But i wouldnt count trading Ben right now as “selling high” haha

The trade is just too good to pass up, given the huge difference in value between Ben and Dame. And if you look at our team right now, I dont even feel we’re missing a beat on offense and may actually be better without Ben.

Once I get Lillard, lillard can easily play better than Maxey, Seth or Korkmaz. Then maybe I can trade one of those three and Milton or Joe for a big wing which i feel what we need right now.

If Lillard looks terrible, how does Simmons look right now? he has mental illness right? why would you trade Lillard for him if you are Blazers?

I don't think you can buy low on someone after 3 games

Seth....play better than SETH ?! 76ciology You do know Seth is the leading MVP candidate right now among GM's in an unofficial poll. Yeah Yeah Yeah small sample size I know.
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

I'd say definitely more than 3.

I'd say more than 30 without a health explanation for downturn.

This is a fair point. But he isn't completely reliant on it. He's (10 poss per game) in the same area as CJ McCollum (9 poss), Step and Lillard (both 8.7).

Fox doesnt carry the load on offense, either. Poor shooter who gets volume on a bad team. His playmaking isnt special either.

Y'all praying Diet John Wall comes and saves us.

No, he has never needed, and will never need, to improve.

Joking aside, it probably didn't help that Brown never ran it, we never had a legitimate on ball creator, and Fultz bashed in his eye socket while running the DHO (PnR adjacent).

Lillard's slump is only noticable because it's the first couple games of the season. If this was in the middle of January nobody would bat an eye.

he played like **** in the olympics as well. So this has been trending for a while. Mileage might have begun to catch up to him like it did Kemba., Steph basically took a whole year off after their loss to the Raptors. Another tiny guard who has been meh/bad this year is Lowry. The cliff comes fast for that type of player
