The Embiid hit on Giddey was a straight-up cheap shot and not needed with less than 2 minutes to go.

This board would be absolutely up in arms if someone put a cheap shot on a Sixers player when the game was pretty much over, especially a 19 year old rookie in this 3rd game, so I think this needs to be called out for what it was. Really poor form, and Embidd should miss a game for that.

What was even worse was the utter lack of class from the Sixers commentators. Saying that if you want to run a fast break you deserve a cheap shot, and "I couldn't care less".

I know people on this board will go on about Philly being tough and don't be a snowflake - all that fake tough crap, but a cheap shot should not be tolerated, regardless of who throws it.

It was a clean attempt for a block, even Giddey knew it. Nowhere near as close as a dirty play.
Given Joel’s history, I’d also he more concerned on Jojo.

Embiid shouldn't be doing it because of the way he lands. He is one contest away from missing a year.

They said he was right to play hard. That wasn't a cheap shot. It was a play on the ball.

But he was wrong to play hard there. With that lead, his injury risk was not worth the two points.

He tried to block him, that's all there is to it, no bias at all. He apologized afterwards too, as you can see in the video, it would be a worse look if he didn't do that.
I honestly think this is what happens when Simmons disappoints and as a result certain "attached" fans need to redirect their frustration, but you guys have Matisse Thybulle to root for, so what is the problem?

The issue is with the commentator as you said, that is just awful and biased, but Embiid?

Awful commentating on our part, Alaa should have gotten a word behind doors on that.

Far be it from me to defend Alaa, but he never said that Embiid "was right to give him a cheap shot", he made reference to playing the game until the end, which means giving full effort. 'Cheap shot' are your words.

If you're going to start an idiotic obvious troll thread, at least get the facts close to correct.

OP is overreacting a lot. What are you condemning SIxers fans for? A cheap shot is pushing a dude when he goes up or tripping him when running. Not nearly blocking a shot.
