Murray and Halliburton “trying out” for the 6ers?

Murray and Halliburton are both well appreciated by their teams’ respective fan base. Both “will not be traded”. And both had memorable performances against the 6ers. Probably a little bit of coincidence and a lot of poor perimeter defense on our part. BUT, despite all that fan support, both play for franchises that remain kind of woeful in the standings for the time being. Two teams where it’s not totally delusional to think that the franchise might take a shot at trading for an imperfect unicorn, who they would probably have little chance ever attracting as a free agent, that a well coached roster could be built around. Meanwhile, it may be self-delusional to contemplate the two talents wishing to be moved from a currently uncompetitive situation to play with a genuine generational talent who would surely appreciate a young, all tool guard to team up with. Accepting that the correct response would be something along the lines of “get real, dude”, still is it possible that these guys, especially Halliburton’s career best performance, may have been energized just a little by the thought of maybe getting moved towards a play-off bound vehicle?

I'd imagine that Haliburton is focusing on playing his way into a huge payday over anything else.

Kawhi aside, folks don’t generally want to leave SA, while Sacto is an NBA hellhole everyone wants to leave.

Maybe Desmond Bane really wants to come here based on last night’s performance, lol.

Morey ought to beg the Kings for forgiveness and add a 2022 1st round pick to get the Kings to accept Ben Simmons for Haliburton and Barnes

Yeah ….. demanding multiple FRPs on top of Haliburton (per Shams) was very odd.

I just hope that Morey doesn’t have an emotional need to “win” the Simmons trade, as opposed to merely securing a great young prospect who may add to our title push immediately.
