Nope he can. Just saw an article that Indy might be looking to flip him.

Buddy Heild stinks and has 3 years and 65 million left on his deal. Morey isn't that dumb.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Harden was just ruled out. Reported by Mark Stein.

Steve Nash is trolling the entire Sixers fanbase.

At least this Board has one Ben we can still count on to show up and be accounted for, and that is post-retirement :D

Simmons, Thybulle, Drummond, Curry is kind of an insane package. I'd balk at that too...

Simmons is still a huge talent, idc. Thybulle also gives them a menacing defender. Curry gives them a floor spacer with huge gravity (although negated by Patty Mills, who's more of a bomber and is a better ballhandler). And Drummond probably starts for them and gives them quality minutes rebounding and protecting the paint.

Simmons/Drummond/Curry/Thybulle for Harden/Mills/Millsap

Irving/Thomas
Curry/Brown
Simmons/Thybulle
Durant/Edwards
Drummond/Aldridge

vs.

Maxey/Mills
Harden/Milton
Green/Korkmaz
Harris/Niang
Embiid/Reed

It's close actually, and that's a nice starting five, but that bench is putrid. Durant probably averages 45 on us and we get dominated athletically and on the glass all series. It goes to game 7 and we lose in heartbreaker fashion... Par for the course with this team.

My guess:

Morey has 2 legit trades (or 1 three team) lined up and is willing to sacrifice this season by dumping assets with Simmons and Tobias to clear the cap space required to sign Harden.

He has a deadline with those teams involved set for tomorrow at, let's say, 1pm. He will absolutely pull the trigger on the Harris piece if he doesn't get a Harden deal done by 1pm. Then, he'll put the full court press on the Nets and say "get value now, or we are signing Harden in the offseason and you get nothing".

If they still say no, he flips the Ben deal before 3pm and the Sixers hope Embiid is enough to push them into the ECF and make a run at it.

It's a gamble, but he also knows the current version of the Sixers with Tobias doesn't win a title anyways, so he needs to acquire that perimeter star to pair with Embiid. Freeing up a max spot accomplishes that either way somehow, and gets out of 2 bad contracts. So therefore, it's worth the risk.

Pretty sure we never entered the deal zone. All credible reports suggest that nothing will happen.

It was never happening people, we are never getting Harden or any guard that can score on the ball and distribute, we will have ugly and anti-playoffs basketball forever.
Great takes since 2024-04-20

You keep saying that and have said that the deal is dead, but I asked for a link and you haven't included anything. Only thing that there is, is from Woj.

Too much smoke for there not to be some truth to all of this dude.

I mean I get it, we've been burned a lot, I also don't think if we don't get Harden now, then there will be no other deal. As others have mentioned Morey could flip Tobi and set himself up for Harden this summer, and really screw up the plans for Brooklyn.

I don't think blowing up this season is a reasonable idea, taking in the Process days made sense, the team was bereft of assets and future ones, but people love this team, Jojo will lose MVP steam and the press will eat them alive, it would be both a bad risk for an older player and just not fair to Joel or the city

It fixes all of their problems and we now have all of the problems.

No thanks.

Ben
Green
Korkmaz
Drummond

For

Harden
Milsap
Sharpe

Not sure how much the Nets actually value Sharpe to throw off the deal but seems like a decent compromise where they get value and depth. If they need our 1st this year…sure

I vote for something involving 12 Monkeys. It even fits given Bruce was a mental patient...
