I assumed that Morey must have had some inside intel on Harden when he traded for him, e.g. that he was injured and would play better after resting. If that's not the case and this is who Harden is going forward, then Morey made a blunder passing on Haliburton and giving up Seth/Andre. A lot is riding on Harden coming back better next year. If that doesn't happen, Embiid's tenure in Philly could be over sooner rather than later.

On the bright side, he got washed up just before the extension and not half a year later or something like that.

There is no way this dude is worth a full max for multiple years. We can pay him close to the max for a year or two, or sign him for multiple years for a team friendly price.

If he doesnt like it he can pack his bags and go play in Sacramento or something like that and forget about winning a championship ever in his life.

Daryl is obsessed with Harden though. He’s not thinking clearly. Morey is going to screw us.

Harden is garbage you guys gave too much for him. Should’ve kept Drummond & Curry while trading Simmons for two good role players + picks. Harden now looks a shell of his former self on a significant decline as Father Time is undefeated.

Should’ve drafted Luka Doncic
always a jump shot away.

I'm not sure if you paid much attention to basketball in 2019 considering how awful Phoenix has been but your guy CP3 who suffered the same exact injury Harden did in the 18 playoffs was basically what we see out of Harden now. He looked awful. Couldn't beat anyone of the dribble and just looked stiff when he moved. I think it's fair to see how Harden responds this coming season. Let's not forget people were saying the samething about Paul as they are saying about Harden now.

I actually think there's a middle ground here that James will return healthy and look quite good next year. That said, he's definitely not to be relied upon in the post season and we need to restrict his minutes in the regular season; even rest him for games.

I have little doubt that Harden will commit to getting himself in some kind of shape, both out of pride and the realization that this is his best shot at ever winning a title and he's in a good situation here.

Your second point is an absolute must - screw seeding, Embiid and Harden should both be load managed, playing somewhere around 60-65 games and 32-34 minutes. I'm not sure Glenn is capable of doing that, but it must be emphasized.

James Harden looks washed to me. I know there’s hope that he can get healthy. But attempting only 2 shots in the 2nd half is inexcusable , healthy or not.

James Harden is not going to age well. His best skill is the ability to drive from the 3 point line all the way to the rim. Historically if you don't have a size advantage that is the first thing to go. Not many players have the explosion to drive from 25 feet to the rim. Even if somehow Harden improved next year we just saw his future. Best case scenario he plays better next year and then trade him quickly. Don't bet your future on someone who really has 2 moves. Drive all the way to the rim or step back 3. He has no mid range game. No post up game. Doesn't have a 2 dribble pull up. He has 2 moves and father time is about to take one of them.

Morey da best GM evvvvvaaa!!!!

Good thing he held out for that “star” name player!!

Good luck rebuilding/retooling around an aging and injured Dame.

Oh, it’s gonna flame out spectacularly, I have no doubt. I have zero faith in that plan, so nice try, but my jadedness trumps your troll attempt.

Harden has a lot of meat left on the bone in his late stage career re-invention. Even in these playoffs the midrange pull up was basically conceded by all defenders. His shot chart can't be cyborg-like with exclusively 3s, FTs, and layups anymore. Father Time has taken that away but I'm sure efficient Harden will return.

I welcome the trolls. Just taking note of all the boards I’m going to troll when we finally win that title. I’ll get banned on every team forum on the site if I have to.
