James Harden and Embiid

Post#1 » by Hussien Fatal » Fri Feb 11, 2022 12:28 am

I first want to say that I love the trade…but my question is how good can this duo be? We know having an elite center and guard is the formula to success, but how successful do you think this duo will be? Will this duo be great or merely just good?

I for one think they are gonna be amazing together and I can’t wait to see them play together.

I’m expecting things and I’m also expecting harden to re sign here in the off season unlike Butler.
They call me Hussien Fatal its a two game table im robbin you **** cradle wit a knife in your navel....

I think we’d run a lot of sets where we see Maxey and Embiid running 2 man games just to set Embiid up for ISO. I think Harden will play Maxey’s role on these.

Then i expect Embiid and Harden to be staggered off the bench. Where we run heavy Embiid iso on a 5 man unit and a heavy Harden iso or pnr.

How we run our squad this season will be how Biid and bench unit will play. Slow paced and ISO heavy.

Then expect to see Rockets basketball on Harden and bench unit. Fast and PnR heavy.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Just know this: Harden made Clint Capela look like an All-Star in Houston. He also made Claxton and Sharpe look like above average centers in Brooklyn. Now imagine him working with the best center in the league…

Watch Harden setting up Aldridge on the Nets and the Maxey/Jo pairing. I think it will look like an amalgamation of that stuff.

Joel has been absolutely on fire on the short roll this year with Maxey. When he gets the ball at the foul line, good things will come.
So I am not that worried about the P&R's, I do worry about the (lack of) off ball movement from Harden when Embiid has the ball in his hands.

They both are smart and very skilled players.
And they both want to win, that’s key!

There is one more person who’s very smart and wants to win - Daryl Morey.
Sixers fan since 2001. From Russia.

Hope they work well together, the talent is obviously there.

Harden will for sure give Biid 3 or 4 easy looks a night. That alone will help this team a lot.

I think the only concern with this duo will be health, chemistry and leadership. They are the only things that could stop them. Basketball wise, on paper its a great fit.

If Harden gets healty and everyhing clicks with Biid, we are one of the favourites to win the championship.

We all know what’s going to happen

Embiid iso & foul baiting

Harden iso & foul baiting

Very skilled but incredibly boring

Basically unwatchable **** unless they win

I was thinking this as well- tons of fouls- not beautiful basketball but part of LBJ and other’s success. He is replacing a foul/shot avoider so the dynamic will be interesting to see unfold. They will have some really impressive nights- hopefully it can lead to a championship.

I think Embiid is pretty darn enjoyable to watch personally.

Simmons return will be one of the highest rating games this season

That’s all the NBA cares about

Nobody cares about a random game dominated by fts as casuals will turn it off
