Why Favors?Any rumblings?

I dont know any rumblings but I find Favors to be similar to D12 and Drum as type of FA bigs because of their great per 36

Niang may have his limitations, but he's a bit of a soldier.

Niang all day, guy's a gamer and has no fear. Thybulle is a flat out liability on offense and is to the point now of passing up wide open 3's. I was having Simmons flashbacks the way the Bucks sagged off him, begging him to shoot.

I could be wrong, but I don't think last night's game took Embiid out if the MVP race.

MFer went from fool to king with the step back 3 in like 3 days lol

Not gonna nitpick the game because I had too much fun watching it but a few thoughts after a good nights sleep:

The Good:
-I love Niang so much, great shooter and he’s always fired up bringing A+ energy
-Millsap has some juice left and will be valuable to have
-Nice to see Maxey be the spark to get us back in it, would love more consistency from him but an awesome moment
-Tobias was back on his BS a bit but overall a solid game, Milwaukee doesn’t have the best athletes (besides Giannis) so a good matchup for him
-Embiid is the GOAT (but pls stop falling down and let that wrist heal)

The Bad:
-Doc really doesn’t like Reed/Bassey and it makes me sad lol would’ve been nice to see some youth/athleticism thrown at Giannis
-Sloppy 4th quarter for the team and some bad habits resurfacing for a moment in crunch time for Embiid but overall he played an awesome 4th
-Wish Giannis would guard Embiid 1v1 more in crunch time, Embiid always accepts the challenge but Bucks/Giannis never reciprocates

Maybe just a lucky game but I like naing in the starting line up Especially when James Harden is in there he should get 10 open three-pointers a game. I would play Thybulle about 10 minutes the game and that’s it. Unless there’s some wing player going off he can come in and check otherwise he’s just about worthless on the court in my humble opinion.

Fantastic game made even better by the fact that the 76ers won without probably their 2nd best player.

The thing that I enjoyed the most was seeing two superstars that came into the NBA with big questions marks work on their games and have become better and team leaders.
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

Giannis nor Embiid can guard each other all game. They'd be in foul trouble and very tired. Its also the regular season. Giannis took the challenge of guarding KD last year in the playoffs.

besides the best player on the team generally can't afford full time duty of guarding the other team's best player. MJ had Pippen for example.

I know you’re kind of joking but there could be some truth to it. I think the Greek freak has an inner drive greater than that of Joel Embiid (unfortunately) and I suspect he’ll come out on fire tonight with a lot more intensity then Joel has. Hope I’m wrong.

Not taking anything away from Joel but I’d take The Greak Freak over him - I just think he has an inner drive that is Michael Jordan like.

Both of you come to my office later on. We are going to talk about being out of the MVP race and inner drive. Bring a pen and a notebook you will be taking notes.

Niang has the glue guy feel to him...Robert Horry, Mario Elie....Great win last night! Props to Doc for playing the matchups and going with the "right" rotation.

For sure, and both players are really valuable help defenders so the team schemes tend to keep them away from each other.

But it feels like in crunch time Embiid will take on the Giannis assignment but the Bucks stay with Giannis as a help defender. It probably makes the most strategic sense but it way more fun to have those two go head to head in the final minutes.

Giannis is effective as a help defender. Which is another reason why the Bucks miss Lopez.

He's never gonna guard Joel 1 on 1 unless strictly necessary like in the end of that 4th quarter.

I also don't know if i saw a different game, but Millsap was absolutely horrible outside of the charge he took.

Yeah really don’t understand if Doc isn’t going to at least try Reed on Giannis, what’s the point of even having him on the active roster?

I really don’t understand the fascination with Paul Reed on this site. He’s a 6-8 190 pound under sized so called Center who can’t score? What am I missing?? Must be like the back up quarterback in the NFL the fans think he should be a playing until you actually see him long term.

Reed makes things happen when he has played. Gets loose balls, gets offensive boards, and generally causes havoc.....sometimes for both teams. He impacts the game in the small doses he is allowed to play...and does it in ways that no one else on the team does.

I’m not even really saying that BBall Paul is a Giannis stopper- he probably wouldn’t have done as solid of a job as Niang ended up doing. But if you don’t try him out in this kind of situation, when do you play him? Any scenario where you need a more traditional rim protector/rebounder, you would play Bassey. Reed’s potential is as a more switchable defender against these monster wings.
