The issue there is that you could very well see a player functioning in that way win a championship for this team "by himself" with the requisite surrounding talent. I put "by himself" in quotes because it's analogous to the quarterbacks in the NFL who give their teams such strong likelihoods of winning at that level by virtue of their own individual functioning on the field.

What you have here is a player who is "quarterbacking" this team at an extremely high level, well beyond perhaps any other player in the league in that capacity.

Should be a crazy crowd tonight.

This is why I compare him to prime Magic instead of Kobe. The ability to function at a HOF level as both a scorer and a facilitator depending on what the team requires.

Kareem and Magic could actually be a better comparison than Shaq and Kobe.

I'm down South now and it's been *years* since I've GONE OUT to watch a *basketball game* but it really makes me want to go out for this one.

With six threes, James Harden passes Reggie Miller for the third most three-pointers made all time. Does he do it tonight? I say yes.

I think Harden easily gets another 30 point triple double. I’m thinking 50 as he passes Miller in front of a raucous home crowd and that he gets a standing ovation when the game is out of hand in the fourth and the starters are benched.

I been a hardcore Sixers fan since the mid 2000's and this is by far the most exciting time i have had the luck to witness.

The only one who comes close was the months we had Jimmy in 2018, but this one feels better by a significant margin.

I think James is going to be shocked at the reception the fans give him tonight. I doubt he was ever really impressed by Nets fans during the home games.

Nets fans are the worst I’ve seen. Especially when they play the Knicks. Feels like Knicks home.
