Pretty sure Elton thought Tobi was Khris Middleton.

He thought he acquired a giant floor spacer that would elevate Ben/Jimmy/Jo.
Khris is a jumbo point guard in a forwards body that can defend. Even as a shaky talent evaluator, there's no way Elton Brand ever saw any resemblance to Khris Middleton in Tobias Harris.

Cavs is short handed without Jarett Allen right?

This game will be informative in my opinion. The Cavs recently played the Sixers and were competitive against them. Having seen how the Sixers have played in the interim -- with what I would call a weak will to win -- I suspect the Cavs will come out believing they can win this one and will play in that manner, while the Sixers continue to display a weak will to win against teams driven to beat them.
Boxing analogies work in a lot of areas, and this Sixers team is like a boxer who gets punched in the mouth and then recoils and defensively keeps his guard up, without punching back much. Under those conditions the opposing boxer smells blood and goes in for the kill, knowing he's unlikely to be caught with a knockout punch. That's how opposing teams play against this Sixers team.
At some point this team is going to have to get pissed off at having been hit in the mouth and fire back at teams. I'm not sure the mentality of the players spearheading the team can inspire that, however. I'm not sure they have that kind of personal mettle. That kind of spirit has to come from the mentality of individual players who then play in that manner and inspire their teammates. I don't see anybody on this team capable of that.

Not trying to be a jerk but we’ll take an L tonight. I’m sorry but this team just does not play 100% all the time. How many times do we see guy lazily reach for loose balls, not rotate properly, or close out of 3 point shooters?

Happy birthday to the big man, but the bad thing is there will be about a dozen "birthday boy" references during the game .
Damn, it was so nice to have a real, professional broadcast the other night.

So nice to have psychological experts on the board to help us in really understanding the mental makeup of the players on our team. It is very instructive to get pre and post game analysis from those that are truly in the know to better be able to see why things might happen, and best of all why they did happen. We should consider ourselves fortunate.

Or you can just ignore it. This is a message board of personal opinions, by and large. You could print out everything ever written here and probably fail to get anyone to pay even 50 cents for it. The weight of the world isn't hanging in the balance here. Someone's particular bent on analyzing team is hardly "damaging" the environment in any way. Apparently you have this forum elevated in your mind in such a way that individual people's slant on things carries far more weight than it should. This is mere keystrokes in cyberspace, dude.

Wow, pay a guy a compliment on being good enough to share some of his sports psychology expertise and this is the thanks you get.

We actually have a good chance to win since we're on the road.
