Raps will be motivated coming off an OT thriller versus the Lakers they should have won and they also always seem to give us fits. Just one of those teams that can’t seem to miss when they play the Sixers. It wasn’t pretty, but we’re coming off one of our best wins of the season IMO. Jo should probably rest this one with the game against Miami on Monday, but he won’t, ‘cause MVP. Should be a fun one regardless.
Go Sixers

Could be a round one matchup and I've been waiting for this one. Historically The Raptors and Nurse have loved trapping a helpless Joel Embiid, but now he's playing alongside a tremendous game manipulator and playmaker in James Harden.
Compositionally they're one of the more unique rosters in the league. Of the 10 players to play over 500 minutes for the Raptors this season, 7 of them are 6'7 or taller. For the Sixers, 11 players have logged at least 500 minutes this season, 5 of them are at least 6'7, and only 4 of them are still currently with the team (rip Drummond).
Lets get this one.

Embiid listed questionable. I think they might rest him. Raptors don’t have an interior scorer so I think he probably will sit and get ready for Bam

Your yearly reminder that only dumb Americans (that's you) apply the name of the great nation in which I live to back bacon.

Don't crucify me for believing that all bacon matters (including turkey bacon)

top 10 defensive teams in the last 10 games which we faced against:
Wolves
Knicks
Heat
Magic
…Raps
I hope Raps play well and play hard so we can come out better from this match.

Also, I don't get the pork roll reference lol. Is that a Philly thing? Shouldn't it be cheese steaks?

Hoping Embiid plays tonight. 4 game week starting tomorrow so rather rest him Monday.

Bacon? I always go to maple syrup (pronounced "sir-up").

The goal is first seed so these next 2 games are pretty much going to be critical in that push. If we lose tomorrow I doubt we can catch Miami with them owning the tiebreaker at that point. If we win we own the tiebreaker as long as we stay ahead on the east conference win standing (10 vs their 9 currently). They will have a harder schedule with maybe 2 tanking teams to play vs 5 for us.

How much does seeding really matter? We've been a consistently better road team all season and I'd prefer to avoid the Nets in the 1st round. The three seed probably gets us Cleveland or Toronto, so I'm fine with that.
Way more important is getting there healthy and rested, and that's easily goal #1 IMO. I'd play Harden and Embiid tonight and get the W, then sit both of them tomorrow (which will never happen) with the WC trip coming up. You could stagger them, but I'd rather just get the surer W.
