Who rests?

Crazy as it sounds, I think we win this one. Don’t ask me how. We usually respond after bad losses though.

Go Sixers
always a jump shot away.

I'd like to see Jo and James play almost all their minutes together. Get in as many reps as possible. And have Tobias and Maxey play all the minutes when they sit.

Probably have a better chance of pulling this one out if Joel and James just sit. Let Maxey run the show with Joe & Reed.

With who? Someone needs to let Glenn know the roster extends past eight guys first.

Anyone with a pulse would be better than Joel / James with no rest.

We just seem to play better on the road to be honest.

We also play with no intensity.

U can see when teams play real playoff like defense. Like Boston does. Like how Toronto played defense last night.

Sixers have higher top end talent. But when the little engine that could (Toronto missing 2 starters) play hard defense and sixers think they can coast on just talent.

Talent doesn’t win nba games these days. Talent plus hard defense wins games and playoff series. We can get away with lack of defense side effort playing likes of charlotte Cleveland or the bulls. But not the other teams

Embiid getting a rest day today. He's out. Harden will play.

No point in playing Harden if Biid is out.

Totally agree take the L. Truth be told I’d rather be the 3 or 4 seed. If we are the 2, I don’t think we have a chance against Toronto, or Brooklyn.

Harden not playing. Sixers focusing on health more than seeding, which is smart. Butler is out tonight for the Heat, so maybe Sixers reserves pull a miracle.

Might as well just sit the entire starting lineup then. Why have any starters play?

Doesn't look real intelligent to lose against Toronto at full strength and then essentially forfeit the game against the conference leader the following night by resting your two key players that day instead of the previous day.

The plan was to win last night.

Especially after that loss, tonight's game means nothing.

I'm fine with sitting those guys but if the Sixers don't care about seeding at all that's nuts. If we have to play the bucks or Celtics in the first round without home field they will lose. Let's hope it's Cavs or bull that's far from a sure thing.

I think this is just a tactic to avoid playing Brooklyn. Everyone knows Brooklyn is going to grab the 7th seed after the play in concludes. They are too talented not to run the table with that. At the same time, rest is good for Harden and Embiid. We have to see if there is ANY other player on this roster capable of stepping up and delivering us some buckets. Isaiah Joe and Shake Milton should be looking to play their best possible games of the season tonight. If Paul Reed gets some time then the microscope is on him too. These are big moments for whoever takes the minutes vacated by Jo and Jim tonight.
