It was speculated, but now it's confirmed.

Making decisions on what medical procedures you want done to your own body should be private and respected, but sadly we live in a time where Matisse will be criticized as 'selfish' for his own personal decision.

Well done. It was only a matter of time.

regardless of what anyone believes is right or wrong...is this any different than a player not working out and playing the season fat and out of shape? that player made a personal choice to eat poorly and not work out - should that person be sheltered from criticism or do we need to respect their choices?

Eh, Matisse is lucky he doesn’t plays for the Nets otherwise he would’ve been crucified for it just like Kyrie was.

You're going to compare a medical procedure injecting a foreign substance that no one knows the long term effect of into your body with being fat and out of shape?

Okay, whatever.

Depends on the reason. If a player has a severe allergic reaction to one of the ingredients, which is rare, that is different. Also, he could have gotten bad information about the vaccine that made him scared to take it. No one thinks working out and staying in shape could be harmful to the body, so they are different.

I think it's more misled or msinformed than it is selfish.

So impossible to say unless we know why he didn't get it.

Disappointing I thought he was smarter. I really don’t wanna an anti-VAX weirdo on my team. Is he a flat earth guy too?? Trade him this off season.

I think we want the 3 seed anyways. Seems to be what we are shooting for with a matchup with Bulls. We lose home court for second round but number 2 has to deal with Brooklyn.

If we play Toronto he needs to get vaccinated that would be so selfish on his part it’s unbelievable.

Honestly guys as a Raps fan, I want him to play. We need someone to double off. I don't think this is much of a loss for you in a potential Raptors series.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Just to weigh in on this convo, this was from last November: https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/76ers-matisse-thybulle-should-return-during-road-trip/

The OP title is misleading - according to the link, Tisse has been vaccinated previously, but based on the IR, he probably just doesn't have the booster fwiw

Hmm... That's a good point. Particularly when the Raptors don't have any particular player we need to worry about defending.
