I certainly wasn't. Whatever Kyrie might be as a person, the personal decision of anyone with regard to having a medical procedure done to their body should be respected, regardless of politics or whether you're butthurt as a sports fan. Are we still living in a free country? Well, I suppose that's debatable at this point.

Politics aside, I supported Flat Earther 100% since his actions served to sabotage his team.

Therefore I cannot support Thybulle. How dare he put a political statement above MY team!?! :nonono:

I'll leave it at this, because I hate politics being brought into this board - if Matisse decided not to get another shot, it isn't a political statement, it's a personal decision that should be respected, regardless of anything else. Politics is what the media and government have made of people making medical decisions on their own bodies.

For me anyways I think the mandates have less to do with public safety and more to do with punishing people who don't agree with you politically. As the virus continues to mutate and the vaccines get less and less effective at preventing infection (the reason behind the mandates) they just get harder to justify as anything other than political.

Anyways hopefully Canada reconsiders by the time the playoffs roll around and starts following the science.

****, you're right.

Athletes did not have to be vaccinated at Tokyo Olympics. He would have needed to be to return to Australia, but maybe he just joined the team in Japan.

Part of defending vaccine adoption as a personal choice and not political entails NOT describing your personal opinion as ā€œfacts and logicā€. You canā€™t have it both ways.

Keep it about basketball. Not having Thybulle would be unfortunate but we should be able to beat them comfortably either way. If we lost it would be because of a much bigger issue than Matisse missing a couple games.

Absolutely ridiculous putting yourself in a position to miss playoff games over something like this.

He better hope they win tonight.

It's the Raptors own form of homecourt advantage.
