I wonder if our fans will give the Raps' Cameroonian some Philly love after calling ours "dirty" and "fake tough".

Refs do not want this to get out of control. How do they do that?

Embiid needs to stop the lazy stupid ass turnovers. That's all I got.

Shouldn't the title be Game 1: Sixers @ Heat?

Should be, if you took away the free throws in game 4

Vegas seems to think we win this one going away. I agree. The league wanted to extend. I truly believe that, and we pretty much let them by getting frustrated. But it's over tomorrow.

Rebound defensively and take care of the ball and this is an easy win. The officiating will swing back and our level headed friends from the North will be carrying on by halftime calling for a league investigation.

Torn ligament confirmed so, well, i think his rebounding and passing is gonna be compromised the most.
Joel should try to take fast shots. Some pick and pops should help

The only thing I care about in this game is I don't want to see Embiid moping up and down the court. You either can play through it or you can't. If you can, then go out and play and be a force. If the pain is too much for him, then get the surgery and end the season. I don't want a "woe is me, my thumb hurts and I'm not getting any foul calls, so I'm going to mope and throw half effort passes all game" Embiid. I hope he's grown past that as he's matured. Still have PTSD from game 4 against Toronto a few years ago where the Sixers could've put their boots on their throat, and he just moped the whole game and gave half effort because he was sick.

Well said!!!!!!!!
I hate that feeling sorry for himself immature crap. I noticed last game he Only grabbed his thumb when something went wrong when he made a basket nothing seem to be wrong. Not saying he’s not injured but the way he was acting last game was just BS in my book. Can you see Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, etc.. moping like that. It’s not a lot good look for his teammates to see. He needs to set an example and act like it’s not bothering him at all. We will see if he has grown up but I have my doubts - I think he will be pouting I’m sorry to say. I apologize if that sounded harsh but it’s time for that guy to grow up he is 28 not 15.

I think we need some more "rah rah" posts from people who have never torn a ligament in their hand, much less played through it at the highest level in sports.

need less of Biid the offensive hub and more Biid the finisher and pick and pop guy....where the decision to score is already made for him or not. Any play that allows the raptors to set up and throw their doubles is bad especially with a bum hand. Also need Maxey to not be a ghost.

Well hopefully we close them out. Either way our season is ovah after this series. Lets hope Toronto doesn't make history on us. But yeah....Close em out tomorrow and then it's on the Miami for the sacrificial slaughter because we aint doin **** with an injured Embiid.

I’m not sure Miami has sone injuries too. He needs to suck it up and not feel sorry for himself however.

I’d really like us to try some Reed at the 4. Embiid is not going to be able to rebound as normal, might as well run Reed (depending on how he is fouling, you obviously need him for start of 2nd/4th when Embiid sits.

That's the central problem with this team -- the two players it revolves around, Embiid and Harden, don't have the mentality of the great ones. That puts a serious ceiling on what it can accomplish, and it's likely that no surrounding cast will be sufficient to surmount that. The very mentalities of those players determines the level of intensity with which the team can compete against the best teams in the league.
Just think for a second about the difference in the mentalities between Chris Paul/Devin Booker and Joel Embiid/James Harden. Not even close. And that as much as anything else would shape a series between the two teams. Regardless of the surrounding casts, the Suns would have an insurmountable mental edge on the Sixers due to the mentalities of the key players involved.

No more KD mentions in dog mentality?
