Game 6: 76ers @ Raptors - it finally ends. (Thursday 7pm)
I'm calling it. The guys find their balls and come to play. We are somehow still favored to win.

Re: Game 6: 76ers @ Raptors - it finally ends. (Thursday 7pm)
This is yet another game in which you'd expect a team with any resolve whatsoever to come out and atone for what happened last night.
The problem now however is the Raptors have a monstrous motive of being the first team in history to win a series after being down 0-3, and thanks to the Sixers' ineptitude, all the confidence in the world to believe they can actually do it! They just won convincingly in Philly -- hell, why can't they win there again in game 7?
However the Sixers enter the game emotionally speaking won't be enough to surmount that on the Raptors' home court. The Raptors win this one.

OP said it. All business, find your balls, show up with intent to kill and finish them off. It's very simple, hit our threes, don't turn the ball over, attack the basket, work hard on defense and we can win this game. Toronto doesn't and should not scare us. They have no depth to speak of, they have no shot creators, they simply outworked us these last two games. I've had a day to calm down about last night and I think we can pull this out. If Jo's thumb is a problem, then he's going to have to work in the low post, wait for the double and make the right pass or if no double comes, take Precious's punk ass to the rack, score on him or draw the foul.
Hit our threes
get to the foul line
work hard on defense
take care of the basketball

With Embiid's thumb in bad shape it looks like you may have blown your chance to win this series. Harden looks like an old man and with Fred not playing for the Raptors you don't have mis matches to exploit. No question Joel when healthy is the best player in the series but he is not healthy. Siakam is good but not at Embiid's level. As I predicted our length and athletic ability at so many positions when Fred does not play is a killer to deal with. The fact is , Harden looks fat and Embiid needs help. Thybulle has done zero even at home, even Green/ Niang have done more. I THINK YOU REALLY NEED MAXEY TO STEP UP AND THAT IS VERT POSSIBLE BECAUSE HE LOOKS LIKE A FUTURE STAR IN THIS LEAGUE

Don’t know if we’ll win it because we look like **** but please run more PnR in this game. Running offense through Embiid in the post plays right into Toronto’s game plan and is a wastes the talent of Harden/Maxey. If Toronto can consistently stop that action? Tip of the cap and see you in game 7.
I do think no FVV is an advantage for Toronto because it makes Maxey’s life really hard. But the talent differential between the two teams that it shouldn’t change the outcome of the game.

Are you saying they play with their balls?

This team has no leader. Nobody that can group the guys together and make a rallying speech. Very disjointed. As a true Sixers fan, even in the blowout wins of games 1 and 2, you knew, you just knew deep in your bones, admit it, that it wasn't going to last and the true face of this Sixers team would come out in later games.

I don’t even want to watch this game. Who am I kidding. I’ll be miserable the entire time.

Yeah, this team could really benefit from having a vet who has enough gravitas to be a culture setter. Like an Iggy, PJ Tucker, or Haslem type who can actually vocalize issues when they see them and have the ear of our stars.

Regardless of what happens in this seriers, i dont think the players themselves believe they can win the title. They dont really believe in themselves and they lack real leadership and toughness as a team. And it starts with Embiid, who doesnt seem confident in his ability to lead the team on the court.

Tim Legler did a very good analysis of our defense in G5. This has me worried even more. I have no hope we win G6, and we can save this series only if we shoot lights out and Raps miss shots in G7. ;ab_channel=NVBTV

I figured Doc Rivers was going to make it a little more difficult decision on whether to launch him out of a cannon and hire Jay Wright. Like maybe go 7 next round and the FO would have to have serious deliberations.
Kinda surprised he can't get an ounce of extra juice out of these guys to close the series, especially at home in a playoff environment.

That kind of play defensively in those kinds of situations is very telling about this team's character. And team character is nothing more than the character of the individual players, especially the best ones.

The Raps have figured us/Glenn out. I have no confidence.
and of course it has to be the Raptors to come back and win this series. their fans are going to be even more insufferable.
