Just can't believe it.. We just can't catch a break in the playoffs. I hope for the best though. And since it's a mild concussion, he could be cleared in a few days.. As for the fracture, if he can play with the mask, so be it. Hopefully we get him back after 2 games.

Is the world ready for the “Paul Reed Victory Tour”?

Just ban them. No need for warnings.

Is Millsap totally done, right? No way, no how? What will Doc do, he token starts Jordan maybe? I would probably go five out with Niang and hope for a hot shooting night? Actually you could get away with Reed too, it's not like Bam is gonna go for 30, right? But Doc already made that declaration about Reed, and now he would have to go back on it... Will he do it? I hope so. Obviously, Harden HAS TO to get into gear now, and have one or two of those vintage games, and hopefully Embiid can be back by game 4 or game 5.

i have to chose between the Raps TV or Sixers TV for replay.

I choose the Raps to know what their thoughts are..

One thing striked me.. they show the difference in free throws i first 3 games and the 2 games after that.

I will post the screenshot later but it looked like..

Raps 17ft per game to 24ft per game +7fts
Sixers 28ft per game to 22ft per game -6fts
Embiid from 11ft pergame to 8ft per game
Siakam something to something.

Huge uptick in freethrow.

Raps tv guys also said that ever since Nurse called out the refs in g1-2 they admit that the calls have been favoring them.

Embiid’s thumb revelation was on game 4
G4 embiid complained about the calls

G5 the team played weird. They just jack up open 3s, as if they want to tell the league that they’re not going to play aggressive on both ends if Raps are getting calls favoring them

G6 sixers got 23 FTs vs Raps 25. Like G3, its shooting that won us the game

I do think Sixers is frustrated with the calls and the league wants the Sixers to win games with not relying on them. Yes, as a fan I do to. But without the calls, it allows the gap of a less talented team like the Raps to be closer. And what happens when we face the elite teams like Celts or Bucks?

Admittedly this could just be my conspiracy theory. But I do think all the “injury” and “lethargic play” is our way of telling the league to stop “fixing” their calls to minimize the difference in number of fouls called between teams

It’s pretty stupid to expect even FTA per game when you’re going against the #1 and #3 attempt getters in the NBA in that category. As a team, we were #3 and Toronto was #20.

Since this is a clean break maybe the timeline is closer to what Clint Capela had in Dec 2017 than what happened to Embiid in Mar 2018. Capela was out for only 1 week in his injury.

I don’t understand why they’re waiting till next week for him to see a specialist? You’re telling me they can’t throw a large enough bag at that specialist to examine Embiid today?

Exactly. I can understand it if they’re constantly attacking a mismatch but Tobi and our guys were slowly doing a good job slowing siakam down by staying in front of him or forcing him to go left.

Bassey is really the only guy who matches size with Bam while not being a complete non-shooter. I think we’ll use a lot of all three (Bassey, Reed, and Jordan) but Bassey should start and get the bulk of the minutes.

Seriously. With all the talk of ‘karma’ while gleefully celebrating Embiid’s injury, it would be a shame if something terrible happened to their prized rookie. But the karmic wheel must turn.

This is another reason you close the series out when you have a chance, you dont keep a scrappy team around like that with nothing to lose . The raptors fought and though they had a chance to come back in the series and make history(lol). They were getting trampled on their own floor after all the hype they got after their two wins. I wouldnt be surprised if siakims elbow had a little frustration to it despite it being seen as incidental.

Also another reason you go into the playoffs with a competent bench Morey. People can partly blame doc for not taking the starters out earlier but this team has shown an unprescedented ability to loose leads and quickly when Embiid goes out. It was over 4mins left , raptors starters were still out there and i think the team just wanted to remove all doubt that the game and series was over.

To digress, I know no one cares much about the raptors but no way the media hasnt highlighted how classless raptors fans have been over the years when another teams player gets injured. With as much flack as the east coast bball fans get. The nasty northerners behavior seem to be completely overlooked.

Is Bassey healthy yet? He’s our best hope while Joel’s out.

We're done with Toronto, not gonna waste any more of my energy on them. I don't know how well we would have faired against Miami anyway. I felt like the thumb injury was already a sign of imminent defeat. Hopefully Bassey sees the floor, but I doubt it. This will be Reed, Jordan, and possibly molassesap getting the minutes. I actually think Reed matches up decently against Bam. Bam is stronger, a bit bigger, but I think Reed can hold his own. We'll see....The show goes on, I think we can still give Miami a run and if we hold it down long enough, maybe we get Embiid back.

At this point you need to shut down Joel, seriously.

Guy already needs surgery in his hand, what's the point of having him out there with multiple injuries and with the possibility of getting more injure by the minute or being literally target as a weak point because he's messed up?.

Hopefully the fracture is clean and he doesn't need another surgery, regroup and keep improving in the off season.

We should be better next year too with an actual team build around Embiid/Harden/Maxey instead of our current set up that still is set for Ben.
