It's looking like the Nets will differ taking the Sixer's pick to next year so I would like to get fan opinion of who you think the Sixers will select and/or who you want the team to choose at #23 from the players listed below (Tankathon Big Board Ranking 18 - 28):

I would like to see the team select Kennedy Chandler!

If teams are foolish enough to let Malaki Branham to slip that far, you move mountains to go get him. He's the best player in this draft and should go #1 overall.

If we can't get up to get him, take Bryce McGowens. He's a sure-fire stud scorer with a good shooting upside.

There's some good looking names in the area that we are selecting. I remember Bones Hyland, Miles McBride, and Tre Mann all being mocked in the same area of where we picked last year and we missed on all three of them. Bones Hyland being the biggest miss. I thought we should have traded up to get him. I have never been a fan of the Springer pick. That guy will never play for us. If he does, I'll eat these words gladly, but I don't see it. As for this year, if we come away with Chandler, Jovic, Beauchamp, EJ Liddell, Branham, or Christian Braun I will celebrate loudly.

Hardy would be the only guy I'd consider a flat out coup.

Jalen Williams is a project pick I could get into. Crazy 2-way potential.

Wendell Moore and Jake Laravia are some other intriguing insulating roleplayers around Embiid/Maxey/Harden.

If we keep the pick, it must be used as a trade asset.

As Kobble said, if Branham is there at 21, you trade our pick and Thybulle for him. That's serious incompetence from the rest of the league if that happens. Reminds me of Jalen Johnson (who I think is going to break out soon).

Unless someone like Eason or Branham drops, I don't feel that strongly about really anyone at #23. If the right deal is there, I'd be open to trading down...something like #32 and #35 from the Magic maybe? Just going off of ESPN's latest mock, I think I'd rather two of LaRavia, Brown, McGowens, Moore, Christie, and Lewis than just EJ Liddell or Dalen Terry.

Hoping for Jalen Williams. Also happy w/Jaden Hardy, EJ Liddell, Wendell Moore, Jake LaRavia. or Nikola Jovic.

Really want to grab another 1 or 2 wings in the 2nd also (via trade or cash). Like Josh Minott, David Roddy, Gabriele Procida, or ideally Justin Lewis.

Also intrigued by Ryan Rollins as a combo guard who could play w/Harden or Maxey.

Overall, this is a heavy wing draft. Need to load up for the future.

I feel bullish on a decent number of wings in this draft so comfortable with a lot of potential selections. Hardy or Moore would be my pick. But that’s assuming Branham is gone because I agree that he’d be a major steal in the 20s. Having him and Maxey fall to us to drafts would be a huge turn of fortune for the franchise over the past few drafts.

It’s official. Sixers have pick 23, Nets deferred.

A bird in the hand…as they say. Brown could be a great fit, if we can develop him. Whoever it is should work out with Maxey.

Why do nets do this? Are they betting on us being worse next season? Can't afford it? Someone fill me in.

It's simple odds. Between Door #1 and Door #2 you always take the door where the potential is greater, especially when the downside is not that much worse.

If the Sixers are better next season, we are talking about the difference between pick 23 and somewhere between 24 and 30, which historically isn't much. But if the Sixers have a disaster of a season or say by some outside chance Embiid demands to be traded or something unforeseen happens, it could be a top 10 pick if things break their way.

The irony will be us trading up for zero potential for stardom, guaranteed role player Ochai Agbaji in this draft.

Also saves them some money and a future pick is easier to trade than a drafted player if they wanted to trade the pick.

Thanks a bunch. That's kind of what I figured, so appreciate you clearing it up for me.

If we keep the pick, Jalen Williams seems like he could be an absolute steal. Used to play PG so can initiate for himself and others. Physical attributes are off the charts.

I know we're no longer in a position to be developing players, but if we can add other pieces without giving up this pick, he seems like a player worth putting resources into.

Trade it with Tobias, and/or Harden
