Not excited, but don’t completely hate it.

I wanted him last year when he was kind of just floating around out there. Team is turning into the Houston Rockets of a couple years ago rather quickly.

Re: Sixers sign Daniel House with biannual exception.
I've seen a lot of House when he was in Houston because the Rockets are one of the teams I follow:
- House is a very good defender who can guard 1 - 4
- He is athletic
- Can attack aggressive close outs
- A good passer
- Finishes strong at the rim with thundering slam dunks
- Solid rebounder
Weaknesses
- a streaky shooter. He will hit a bunch and then miss a bunch. He's either hot or cold often in the same game.
- He thinks he's a better player than he really is and tried to do too much. I remember him trying his best to imitate Harden with step-back threes with little success. If he sticks to simply catch and shoot jumpers, and attacking aggressive closeouts while playing great defense, he can easily start for the Sixers. He has a collection of skills that no other player on the team has.

Seems pretty cool, soak up some RS minutes and good enough energy/heart to do something in the PO if he’s hot at the time.

Not going to complain. He can play the Korkmaz role much better than Korkmaz can.
I just question if any other team was offering more than the minimum? To go from struggling to stay on a roster consistently to 8 mil is a nice come up for House

I doubt it but if he's exactly what Morey is looking for in a wing, I don't think you play around with the money. I think we will sign another wing with the minimum. Probably someone lesser known.

Expected this to happen and it's a good signing. Solid rotation quality 3 and D wing that has familiarity with Morey, Harden, Tucker, etc.
jonjames is a signature bet welcher.

Daniel Hauskas.
This guy doesn't offer much, IMO. No steals, no blocks, no assists. Low per minute scoring with league average or so three point shooting.

Shot 40% from 3 last year and plays good defense and you say that he doesn't offer much?

He's a decent defender. He's not gonna block shots like Gobert or steal the ball like Marcus Smart, but he's solid and versatile on D in a switching system. He can hit the open 3, which is all Phili really needs him to do. They already have 2 primary ball handlers + Embiid.

Do you actually watch basketball? Or do you just check spreadsheets and if a guy doesn’t meet your personal requirements he stinks?
The idea that a player can’t play good defense without showing up on a stat sheet is laughable

Not to doubt your accounting there, but at a glance it looks like he's been one of the better guards in the league at blocks per minute, and easily above average at steals and rebounds too. Also looks like he never turns the ball over, and the 3pt % and volume are both pretty nice.
I remember him mostly as a pretty strong guy who get hot a couple times in the PO.

Indifferent about this one, but If you've ever longed for a Royce O'Neale acquisition, you've essentially just received an equivalent. Actually he was outplaying him on the same team last season and stealing his playoff minutes.
Whatever. If he can log some end of the playoff rotation minutes and hit some 3's and compete defensively then it's a fine usage of the BAE.

Seems to be useful in the regular season and the type you try in playoff games and if he's hot you ride him if not move onto other rotation options.
It's fine. Not great, not bad.

Would be interested to see his stats compared to other small forwards since this is the position he actually plays.

We are going to have to find a way to dump Korkmaz and Niang after these deals. Man if you add their salaries together we are paying House + Tucker + Niang + Korkmaz around 25 million. Sheesh

This guy lowkey had a career year with the Jazz, last season

Looks to me as a replacement for DGreen.
