Very possible that they would bite. If they convince themselves that 2022 Playoff Poole can return, they would feel very good about their title chances with a healthy Kawhi.

Warriors and Clippers might need a sweetener. I would send Springer to Golden State and the rights to Petrusev to the L.A. to seal the deal.

We're going to get those three guys and avoid Poole's contract just for Tobias? No way GS and LAC let us off that easy. We'd probably have to add a pick or two, and possibly Springer.

We should be looking for the next Aaron Gordon or Andrew Wiggins in the Tobias trade if possible.

Who right now is seen as slightly overpaid and underwhelming on a bad team?

Jonathan Isaac? John Collins? DeAndre Hunter?

Throw in Springer, that’s fine. He wouldn’t get any playing time with Powell/Melton here anyways.

Didn't korkmaz openly ask to be traded, twice?
Will he get utilised by Nurse or should he be shopped/filler in a trade?

Yes, he did.

No, I don't think Nurse will use him.

Yes, I think he'll probably be shopped either as a salary dump on our end or as a filler contract to match salary in another deal.

Collins and Hunter, for sure.

P.J. Washington hasn't gotten paid yet, but he'll meet the criteria, as well.

Jonathan Isaac should be written out. His career is basically over at this point, due to medical.

Trade 1: Harris for Powell/Covington

Trade 2: Melton for Kyle Anderson

Harden/Springer/McClung
Maxey/Powell/Korkmaz
Tucker/Anderson/House
Covington/McDaniels/Niang
Embiid/Reed/Harrell

Acquiring Anderson = hitting two birds with one stone: facilitator for 2nd unit and wing defender. No need for a true backup PG if we acquired him IMO.

Korkmaz and a 2nd to San Antonio
S&T Jalen McDaniels and cash to IND
2nd round pick to LAC
Robert Covington to PHI

Spurs pick up a minor asset for eating Kork.

Indy gets cash in exchange for agreeing to format signing as a S&T

Clippers get a minor asset and save a ton of money

Sixers get a starting forward that should fit Nurse's system.

Sixers re-sign Harden and Reed.
Seth Curry for tMLE

Maxey / Curry
Harden / Melton
Harris / House
Covington / Tucker
Embiid / Reed

All I know is Harden has to go and Tobias has to go.

Tobias is not a SF and not a natural PF who can work close to the basket nor rebound.

Harden, well, he's past his prime and needs to go somewhere else.

I understand your idea of trying to get a couple little upgrades without really giving up anything... but if they run it back just wake me up summer 2024. Nurse essentially by himself isn't going to significantly change the fortunes of a Embiid/Harden team.

Tobias should have been long gone by now and Harden should only be back if HOU will not play ball on a S&T deal.

This feels like the type of trade only the Lakers are allowed to get away with. Tobias Harris for a promising young talent & 2 legit role players would be incredible luck.

Lol fair. I’m fully aboard the Harris for Powell/Covington bandwagon now.

Tobias trade #32753 (partially ripped from the trade board and modified)

Tobias Harris, Furkan Korkmaz and lowered protections on picks owed
For
Dorian Finney-Smith, Royce O'Neale and Joe Harris

DFS and O'Neale are both solid, rotational 3+D role players. Harris is an amazing regular season shooter so he'd have some utility, but is mainly in here as a salary filler that could maybe be flipped by the deadline.

I don't think you can get Powell and Covington for Harris, though.

Would you do Harris and Melton for Covington, Gordon, and Terance Mann? That feels like a possibility to me.

How much lower? The 2027 is top 8 protected I believe? Can't be dropping it below top 4. If that works for them, I would do it.

I was thinking we owed them more picks, forget the other one was to OKC.

I dunno, top-3? Not sure that works without them getting something else
