Game 53: 76ers vs Celtics
That time of the year again.
Important game to stay up in the standings, but also we come from a pretty disappointing lose against the Knicks. Celtics are 7-1 on division games and we're 5-4.
Smart is confirmed out, Timelord, Brown and Kornet are probable.
Obviously, we're gonna trade for Vanderbilt and Naz in the middle of the game

Re: Game 53: 76ers vs Celtics
This game will give people a great idea of how this team is likely to fare in the second round of the playoffs, assuming it doesn't finish high enough in the standings to get home-court advantage and it has to win on the road at least once to win the series. Last year it was clear the team couldn't win on the road at that level.
Obviously if the team can't win on the road in the second round, it won't advance beyond that round once again. It takes some significant mettle as a team to win on the road at that level and defeat a team with home-court advantage, and once again I haven't seen that in this team this year.

I want to see how we’d play against a healthy celts squad.
It would also be interesting how we’d handle defending their wings and how they will defend Biid and our 2 man game

This is definitely a game that will determine how seriously I consider us a title contender. Best team in the East & worst matchup for our roster.

Celts frontcourt of Al, who is showing clear signs of decline and Rob Will’s health is going to cost them this season

I think they pushed Williams too far in an attempt to win last year which will end up ruining their title run this year.

Al is also showing clear signs of decline. But i never want to doubt Al. He’s a vet and he’s really good at pacing himself.

Yeah, Al will have something extra in the tank for a handful of playoff games. I’m hoping the Celtics are cursed for a generation because of the IT situation.

I see a 10 to 15 point loss tonight unfortunately. The Celtics are better equipped for the modern NBA basketball. It’s all about wings nowadays and to compare their wings, to our wings, is like comparing caviar to chicken ****.
In a seven game series we beat everyone in the NBA expect Milwaukee, and Boston. They beat us in 6, maybe 5.

Why?
80 pts from Embiid, Harden, Tobias and Melton. (2nd best 5 man net Rtg + most minutes behind Nuggets)
40 pts from Maxey, Niang and Milton. (Do they have this much fire power?)
I dont think they have enough fire power from their starters and their bench.
We’re also top 6 on defense, on top of that.
Celtics frontcourt is falling apart with Al showing decline and Rob Williams’ health.
Bucks is just lost this year with Portis and Middleton’s health.
Best player, best duo, best trio, best quarter, best 5 and best bench trio in the league (8 man rotation).
If we get into close games where Harden-Biid 2 man game is unstoppable. Tatum is overrated in crunch time (he shoots 41%) and Bucks is lost in crunch time with or without Middleton.
I like our chances in a 7 game series.

Win or lose, a Russian guy is going for that German beer in Turkey (which is hard to find).
Go Sixers!
BTW. That earthquake is really bad.

My prediction,
Copy and Paste the Orlando loss last week and the New York loss this past weekend and that is how this game will go.

Judging by the overwhelming negative sentiment in this thread, I predict we win by 15.
And then Doc says, "We won, now it's time for our Eagles to win it all (hyuck hyuck hyuck)!"
