Always liked his game from his spurs days. Solid defender/shot blocker who can stretch the floor. Could see a lot of pick and pops with Harden.

He's an upgrade on Harrell and Reed.

Not really, he is between both players as per RPM.

I liked him when he was with the Spurs. Then he signed elsewhere and developed a 3pt shot. I expected him to be a solid league starter for years to come, but his 3pt shot got really shaky. Now that he's getting older, and with his 3pt shot of unknown quality, it's really hard to say what we have in him.

When Dedmon knocks down an open tree in game 7 in the 4th quarter of the semifinals at the 8:43 mark that ties the game, it'll all be worth it.

I like him over Noel simply because he has some dog in him. That’s what we need more of come the big games.

I thought the Sixers were supposed to be all stocked up on dog with Tucker.

If we get the Dedmon from this season we're F'd. If we get the Dedmon from the last few years we're good.

Sometimes is just nice having another 7 footer with a 7'4" wingspan.

I don't think he's better than Harrell or Reed.

Dedmon is equivalent to an innings eater pitcher on a sub 500 MLB team. He will do nothing productive. Geez, sounds just like Morey.

I agree with your sentiment, but doesn't the term innings eater mean someone that won't move the needle one way or the other. I wish we had that as our backup C and wish Dedmon was that guy lol

Dedmon will be fine. Considering what is being asked of him, he's not going to be put out there and suddenly lose the game for us the way a Montrez Harrell can. With that being said, he's also not going to win us the game. Dedmon should be looked at as a defensive upgrade over Harrell and nothing more. He can stretch the floor so there is some value with him on offense, but it's limited to that and maybe the occasional putback dunk off an offensive rebound. Expectations shouldn't be crazy high. Considering what was out there and available, I think Morey did just fine. Kevin Love might have been a better option, but he hasn't even been bought out yet with Cleveland.
