Would like to see Maxey have a good game. Melton get 3 fast breaks and finish each one. House, Reed and McDaniels play meaningful minutes. And a win, yes a win would be nice too.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

We need to have faith in our guys people. Tonight we will show Celtics that this time we are on another level, it's time for Embiid and Harden to show the improved chemistry, and Maxey to finally have a great game against Celtics. I think tonight is the game where we break that mental barrier.

Just like the Bucks game, I don’t care. I don’t think it means anything whether we pummel them or they us. This isn’t the playoffs.

Completely disagree.

Have to develop some confidence that they can beat the Celtics.

Personally I’m tired of losing to these mudda phuckerz

Very tired of it

Can we stop the three tonight? Can we slow down Jaylen Brown who always seems to murder us? Doc needs to handle the rotations correctly tonight. House, McDaniels, and Reed all need to play well tonight. I'm not expecting anything from Niang or Shake tonight, but it would be nice. The bench has really suffered lately and that's really been the biggest issue. Reserves aren't getting us anything and that's a problem. Doc has ghosted Shake once again and he's really the only scorer coming off the bench. The rest are guys you hope can either make a play or get hot and hit a couple open threes. If the reserves show up tonight, we'll win. If not, we're going to lose, and both Harden and Embiid will be overexerted.

Seriously? How so?

These are pros, two teams that know each other inside out and know they will likely be meeting in the playoffs. This is nothing more than a sparring match.

In a few weeks that all may apply, but for now let's just stay healthy. This game in and of itself means next to nothing.

Jalen Brown and Rob Williams are both out.

No excuses if we lose this game AT HOME.

It would be unprecedented for a team to be 0-4 against a team during the regular season, then proceed to win a playoff series against that same team.

Not only this season but in previous seasons, Boston has clearly had our number (even excluding the bubble sweep without Simmons).

If we can't beat them without Rob Williams and Jaylen Brown, I can't imagine there'd be much confidence heading into a playoff series versus them.

oh boy a game against the celtics and its on TNT?

here is how its gonna go...some rando is going to hit all their 3s (Horford also will), Jo is going to float around; Shaq will go "he doesn't want it enough", Doc will play Korkmaz at the 5, and then dog mentality will be mentioned, and we lose.

i hate it here

Iam on the must win wagon. I think Embiid has to dominate this game and beat the team that blew out the Bucks. MVP is at stake if he has a poor showing. It will boost the teams confidence going into the playoffs. Also need the Nets to win and Hawks to lose a game. Would love to see the Raptors give some fits to the Bucks first round. Hawks will be a cakewalk for them.

I want to agree with you... but it's Boston and they have absolutely owned the Sixers the past 5 years. The Sixers need to show some fight and get the W this evening. Regardless of how you feel about the "dog mentality" cliche, IMO it absolutely applies in this case.

As an aside, if Jo goes 30-10 plus in a win... would go a long way toward him winning that MVP trophy (and a long overdue All NBA 1st team selection) that we all know he really wants.

Why should they?.. Makes since they have proven they can beat us without multiple main guys. If they beat us again without 2 starters that should be another huge plus for them and kick to sixers morale. If they lose they can say we'll we beat them three times and they might have won this time but we were without Brown and Williams.
