It’s been a while since I created a thread.
Let’s talk about it here.
To me - this is the easiest opponent we’ve had in Embiids era in postseason.
4-1 is my prediction. A sweep would be great.
No injuries please.
Let’s go Sixers!

From the looks of it (I may be wrong) Brooklyn has been running Bridges as a shooting guard. That's a big backcourt between him and Dinwiddie. It's going to be very hard to slow that down. Doc will have to switch up defensive assignments. You can't put Maxey on either Bridges or Dinwiddie, but you can put him on DFS. I think you then put Tucker on Bridges and leave Harden to guard Dinwiddie. Tobias take Johnson and Embiid Claxton. Those are the starter matchups. I would at least try those switches out. Of course, Doc wont do that. He'll have Maxey on Dinwiddie and Dinwiddie will smoke him. We're basically going to have to make them stop us on the other end. I expect these games to be high scoring affairs. Dinwiddie especially will be the hardest to stop on that team I think for us. Bridges will get his, but limiting Dinwiddie will be key.

Non-trivial chance Miami could have beaten us. This was best case scenario. Not saying we couldn’t choke here or embiid could get hurt, but hopefully this round goes smoothly and we’ll face a Celtics or heat team that just got beat up the round before.

Does Brooklyn have any intentionally reckless and dirty players in the Siakam mold?

I’m the biggest Heat fan until the end of round 1.

Yeah, Nic Clankston is definitely one of them. Cam Johnson looks like a first class A hole as well.

Easier than the Washington Wizards? Even Ben Simmons averaged 14 points against them

Looking back, what a massive letdown this matchup is. Should’ve been Harden vs his old teammates & Simmons getting destroyed by Philly fans. This went from the #1 box office draw to NBATV worthy games.

You know, keeping it real, we have a poll in Netsland:

Sorry Sixers fans, but it looks like we'll be sweeping you!

They don’t have any bonafide goons. That’s a plus. That all changes starting round 2 and on. Marcus flop then the Antetocounpos twins plus crowder.

Claxton doesn't have the ball enough to do something to Embiid's face but this is now the start of weird Embiid injury season so I'm going to start biting my nails.

Yeah I feel you, this should play out like the Wizards 1st round matchup, but with a little more spice. Unfortunately (fortunately?) this time around instead of getting the Hawks afterwards it'll be Celtics.

For some reason I was more uncomfortable back then.

Our #1 goal each year since the start of the process was getting a healthy Embiid heading into the playoffs. Let alone the monster player he has developed into. Whatever other weaknesses this team might have, setting loose the most dominant player in the league was always Hinkie’s #1 priority.

No injuries, it doesn't matter what the other team throws at us. There's simply no stopping Joel Embiid this year if he can stay on the floor.

If they push us to 6 games it's a massive disappointment and a sign we're going nowhere again.
We *should* sweep but the gentleman's sweep is also acceptable.

Why was jaden pulled so early?

Exactly my reason for coming here, to find that out.

Probably doesn’t want questions the next weeks why Springer doesn’t get minutes? He got annoyed last season too, when everybody found out, 82 games before Doc himself, Paul Reed could be a usefull player and media started asking why he didn’t get some run
