I disagree. Embiid is crucified because he's a Philadelphia athlete.

God forbid the moment he ever put on a Celtics, Heat, Nuggets, Lakers jersey, their fanbases would drop to their knees and proclaim him the second coming of Hakeem.

Iverson is probably the only Philly athlete who was loved across league fanbases. One because he was counter-culture/original trend setter and two because he didn't have much team success. Not quite a lovable loser, but if the Sixers were a deep playoff team each year he would've gotten more hate. Most of his hate came from the media.

Nope, maybe if he started his career in those teams yes that could be the case, but not now, people hate him for various reasons not tied to Philly, such as his trolling antics, his flopping, airplane, supposedly winning an "undeserved" MVP from Jokic, etc.

Also for what it's worth his Twitter banner is still "THE PROCESS". He also put out a tweet regarding Messi and the Union referencing "our city" two nights ago.

I don't blame him one bit if he wants out. Though i suspect they'll make one last gasp in the offseason to see if they can reel in another FA. I don't even blame Morey all that much he was dealt with such an unbelievably bad hand. I blame Brand and the Colangelos for messing things up so badly.

Nah bro it's because he's a Philly athlete. Embiid's arrogance represents the same arrogance Philly fans had for the process itself. It rubbed people the wrong way that we were supporting the tank as loud as we were. Remember, fans on here were trashing Embiid before he even played a game with us. Ben Simmons even got sympathy when he left us. There are still people blaming Philly for what happened to Ben Simmons, despite us being the only people supporting him. Also, the MVP thing is silly as hell too. How can someone who finished 2nd for two straight years prior be undeserved? As if he isn't even a top 5 player in the league. Embiid straight up had a better and more storied regular season than Jokic.

This is the perfect time for a break up honestly. But break ups never happen at the perfect time.
